Self Help Skills Eats a variety of nutritious foods Sleeps 10-11 hours per night (recommended

Listens to a story without interrupting

Completes tasks willingly and tries things that are difficult

Math Skills Identifies numerals 0-10 in a random order Counts to 20 or higher Counts a group of 10 objects with accuracy Identifies basic shapes (circle, square, triangle,

rectangle, oval and diamond) Names 10 colors Recognizes and completes simple patterns

(ABAB- red, blue, red, blue, red, blue)

Language & Literacy Skills Identifies uppercase and lowercase letters

(especially those in their name) Knows letters have sounds Recites rhymes and sings familiar songs Participates in rhyming games and is able to

discriminate words that rhyme Shows an interest in books and reading Holds a book and turns pages correctly Carries on a conversation with peers and adults

using complete sentences

Small & Large Muscle Skills

Holds scissors correctly and cuts straight and curved lines with some accuracy

Holds pencil, crayon and marker correctly

Writes first name using a capital letter for first letter only and lowercase for remaining letters

Catches and throws a ball, gallops and hops on one foot
