The Birth of The Legend ‘Heeliminated the drive chain, with thewheel driven directly from thetransmission, put the gear lever onthe handlebar, besigned amonocoque frame and enclosedbodywork to protect the rider.’

The Invention ‘In 1946, as Italyembarked on postwarreconstruction, the rebuilding ofthe main Pontedera factory wasassigned to one of Rinaldo’s twosons, Enrico, who opted for a fullconversion focusing on personalmobility.
