The Project
A platform developed by the Global Compact Network Italy Foundation (GCNI Foundation)to support its members in collecting and sharing information on their supplier’ssustainability performances with the aim of:
Identifying common challenges and solutions to develop more sustainable supplychain practices
Supporting the promotion of best practices among GCNI Foundation members and theirsuppliers and contractors
Sharing information and culture around the United Nations Global Compact TenPrinciples
The TenP Platform
The TenP Sustainable Supply Chain Self-Assessment Platform:
Is a tool to support companies in self-evaluating their sustainability strategies andperformances
Gives to users the possibility to track their progresses, to benchmark theirperformances against peers and to share the self-assessment results with the TenPPlatform Partners*
Allows users to maintain the complete control over their data
Is freely available for every company interested in using it

The Questionnaire
The TenP Sustainable Supply Chain Self-Assessment Questionnaire:
Is built around the four areas covered by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)Ten Principles also taking into consideration the most relevant internationalagreements, conventions and standards:
Human rights
Labour
Environment
Anti-corruption
Is Drilling questionnaire. It consists of two major components:
Basic common pre-requisites (IN/OUT)
Sustainability management evaluation criteria
Level 1 – clear and formalized commitment to sustainability and the presence of anadvanced tool for reporting on sustainability issues, as well as the absence ofnegative events connected with sustainability issues over the past 12 months
Level 2 – Certifications in place (e.g. SA8000, etc.)
Level 3 – Existence of sustainability policies and management & accountabilitypractices
The Questionnaire
The Questionnaire
It has been thought to be completed by companies of any size and business sector, operating wherever in the world
The questionnaire has to be completed taking into consideration the company as a whole
All the questionnaire responses, as well as all the filled out documentation, will be accessible for future review and updating
The Outcomes
By filling out the questionnaire, companies willautomatically receive:
an online scorecard containing the four areas scores;
an overall score along with the fourareas scores;
a customizable benchmark tool (e.g. bysector, country, etc.).
The self-assessment process final score has not to be considered as a merit score awardedor certified by the GCNI Foundation
The Data
The information provided by the company in filling out and updating the self-assessmentquestionnaire as well as the self-assessment results:
Will be kept strictly confidential and will not be publically shared or distributed
Will be exclusively visible to the company that fills out the questionnaire, to the GlobalCompact Network Italy Foundation Secretariat and, ONLY IF EXPLICITLY AUTHORISED bythe company itself, to one or more of the TenP Platform Partners
Will be used in aggregate form as a statistical basis to support research andbenchmarking activities
