HAPPY EASTER!

Thank you for joining us for our 18th Living Gallery production. We are delighted to celebrate Easter with you.

This year’s program “Rivals on the Road” features art from museums around the world—and one painting, “Christ in the House of the Pharisee,” from the Museum and Gallery at BJU.

We’d love for you to stop by the Museum & Gallery and see it in person while you’re here on campus.

As you experience this breathtaking program—with its music, original drama and classic works of art coming to life—our hope is that you will come face to face with the glory of our Savior Jesus Christ.

I trust you will enjoy this stirring presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through living art.

BREAKING THE DARKNESS

“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).

Just three months ago during the Christmas season, we celebrated Jesus’ birth and remembered the wise men as they were drawn by the light of a star in the east to worship the young child who was born king. Jesus Christ was sent as the light of the world, and all who follow Him will have the light needed to live in this dark world.

Our Savior’s final days on earth were very dark. His agony in the prayer garden, the many trials He endured, and finally His painful crucifixion and death made it appear that this light of the world, whom God had sent some thirty years before, had been extinguished. It seemed that the darkness had won.

But on that bright first Easter morning, Jesus Christ conquered death and made a way for all who believe in Him to overcome death as well.

As you continue to celebrate this Easter season, it is my prayer that you will be overwhelmed by the glorious light of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and that you will give thanks to the Father, “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son” (Colossians 1:13).
