The City of Wimberley is located in central Hays County, between Austin, San Marcos, and San Antonio. The Historic Town Center of Wimberley is situated at the junction of Cypress Creek and the Blanco River, roughly 1,000 feet above sea level on the Edwards Plateau. The City of Wimberley is a destination for leisure and event travelers.
