2. By entering this show, you are agreeing that you have read the COVID Safe Plan and that you will comply with the requirements described in it.
3. Any exhibitor who at any time does not comply with the requirements in the COVID Safe Plan or fails to comply with a direction of a show official during the show, will be asked to leave to show hall with their exhibit(s) immediately, with all awards and prizes forfeited.
4. There is a limit of 80 exhibits in this show. Once this limit is reached, no further entries will be accepted and any entry fees paid in anticipation of the entry being accepted will be refunded.

Cats NSW Show
Thank you for considering placing an entry in our show. Before you enter any exhibits, we would like you to
consider the following information that we have put together in order to make the show pleasant for
everyone.
This will be an open show and exhibitors will be allowed in the show hall throughout the day and will be able
to watch their exhibit(s) being judged from the allocated seating area.
We will be operating in a completely different environment from shows prior to the outbreak of Covid. Please
follow the guidelines in the show hall to comply with requirements relating to physical distancing.
PLEASE:
1 Display patience at all times during the show to EACH and EVERY person in the hall
2 Follow the directions of the Floor Managers at all times
3 Remain seated unless you are using club amenities or attending to your cat (at the direction of the
Floor Manager)
4 Observe physical distancing and sit only in the seat allocated to you
5 Sanitise your hands regularly
You may find that the new requirements are frustrating and that show participation is not the same as
before. It WILL take longer to set up at the start of the show and to leave at the end of the day and time
spent with your cat to groom for presentation will be limited to a small window. – REFER POINT 1
If you feel that you cannot work with the new requirements then you should not enter this show.
We need your patience and cooperation. There will be issues, please provide suggestions if things are not
going smoothly and be kind. - REFER POINT 1
The Show Manager reserves the right to ask any exhibitor at any time to leave the show hall with their
exhibits if they are not complying with the new requirements. In this event the exhibitor’s exhibit(s) will be
disqualified.
General
1 Physical distancing applies at all times – all participants to maintain 1.5m physical distance at all times.
Note: physical distancing does not apply to members of the same household.
2 The 4 square metre rule applies in the show hall – our hall is limited to 75 people plus workers at the show.
3 Public are not permitted – that is, only exhibitors as advised at time of entry, judges and workers will be
permitted in the show hall.
4 Each Group Section will be assigned a Floor Manager who will be in a Hi Viz vest. The Floor Manager will
be available to ensure that benching, judging, cat welfare and departure after the show are managed in
accordance with show rules and physical distancing requirements. You must follow their direction at all
times.
Entries
5 Exhibitors are limited to how many people can accompany them. No more than 2 people may attend with
their exhibit(s) regardless how many exhibits they show.
6 All participants (exhibitors, judges and workers) will need to confirm or provide their name and contact
details upon entry to the show hall.
Benching and set-up
7 Benching for exhibitors will be staggered. Exhibitors will be admitted to the hall to comply with 1.5m
physical distancing and there will be markers on the floor both inside and outside of the venue to ensure
that the distancing rule is applied. Exhibitors will be asked to bench their cats as quickly as possible to
allow other exhibitors to bench their cats in satisfactory time. As a guide, exhibitors should spend no more
than 10 minutes benching their cat (per cat).
8 In order to prevent a large line, vetting will be in cage. Please provide a copy of your vaccination records
with your entry.
9 There will be no grooming of cats in the show hall. Please bench your exhibit within 10 minutes (per
exhibit). Exhibitors will be given a short period of time to make final preparations for their cat before
judging commences.
10 After benching their cat(s) exhibitors must leave the area and sit in your allocated seat.
11 15 minutes prior to judging exhibitors will be allowed into the area to make final preparations for their
cat. Exhibitors will need to maintain 1.5m from other exhibitors at all times – as a guide, there should be
at least one double cage between exhibitors at all times. The Floor Manager will manage this process to
ensure that all exhibitors are fairly able to access their exhibits during this time.
Judging
12 Judges are required to steward their own cats.
13 The Floor Manager will assist the Judge with any queries relating to the exhibits or judging processes; to
provide refreshments such as water and hot beverages; and to provide any other assistance the Judge
requires. The Floor Manager may assist, or arrange assistance for, the Judge in the handling of a fractious
or otherwise difficult exhibit.
14 The Floor Manager will undertake any attention to the cats in the bay during the day. This includes placing
or removing a litter tray or similar requirement. Only the Floor Manager and the Judge may be present in
the bay throughout the day once benching is complete until departure at the end of the day. This includes
when there is no judging occurring in that bay.
15 At their discretion, the Floor Manager may permit an exhibitor to enter the bay to attend to a cat. This
includes cleaning a soiled cat, to place or remove a water bowl in the cage, or to quickly refresh an exhibit
between judging rings. If permitted into the bay by the Floor Manager, the exhibitor will be expected to
attend to their cat quickly – within minutes.
16 Exhibitors need to seek approval of the Floor Manager if they wish to enter the bay for a purpose as above,
at any time during the day after benching – this includes while there is no judging in that bay.
17 Consistent with current practice, the Judge may, at their discretion, call exhibitors into the bay to present
their cats for their top awards. The judge should call no more than three (3) exhibitors into the bay at any
time, and all should ensure that the exhibitors and judge remain 1.5m apart at all times.
18 Lunch breaks for Judges and workers will be staggered and all will be required to adhere to 1.5m distancing
while seated for lunch.
End of show and departure
19 Award cards, certificates and any prizes will be placed on cages as usual.
20 Awards, especially any prizes, should be placed in the exhibitor’s car as soon as possible at the direction
of the Floor Manager, to assist with departure at the end of the day.
21 Departure – removal of cats from the show hall – will also be staggered. The Floor Manager will manage
exhibitors in their bay and will call in exhibitors as soon as the previous exhibitor departs the bay.
22 Exhibitors may be permitted to depart the show hall at the completion of judging and prior to best in show
presentations in accordance with point 21 above, and with the approval of the Floor Manager. Removal
of Exhibits no included in the Best In Show presentations will be advised of such and can decide if they
would like to leave early or, they may remove their cats from the show hall and return to watch the
Presentation.

Ring 1 – Group 2 & 3 Fiona Cooper - (CATS NSW)
Ring 2 – All Breeds Debs Armishaw (CATS NSW)
Ring 3 – All Breeds Hazel Rossiter (CATS NSW)
Aged 13, I was granted my Breeder’s Prefix, Kalinya thereby entering me in to the pleasures and
heartaches of breeding and showing Siamese. My breeding and showing life was interrupted for a
longer than expected period by my human breeding programme. Resurrecting my Kalinya prefix in
1990, I resumed feline breeding with firstly a "rescued" lilac Burmese then British Shorthair and since
1991, my first love, Siamese. Promoting our cats around NSW has been and continues to be of
immense pleasure. By gaining my Judges Licence for Group 2 (2003) and Group 1 (2007), I have given
myself the opportunity to share my knowledge and training with exhibitors and to continue to
promote the responsible ownership and breeding of cats.
I have bred Siamese, Orientals, Foreign Whites, Burmese, Devon Rex, Scottish Folds and even a litter of Abyssinians under the Fioric prefix over the past 26 years. I have been a regular exhibitor for over 25 years and have exhibited in most parts of NSW and occasionally interstate. My first Maine Coon litter was born in 1999 and I’ve bred these amazing felines since then under the CoolCoons prefix. I’ve imported several of these cats from the UK, Norway, the USA and quite a few from New Zealand. I have enjoyed considerable show success with CoolCoons cats and kittens having won many Best Group 1 Exhibit and Supreme All Breeds Exhibit in Show awards as well as NSW CFA Kitten and Cat of the Year Awards. I’ve owned and/or bred Cat or Kitten of the Year in all 3 Groups with NSW CFA since I first began exhibiting. I gained my Group 3 judges licence in 1999, followed by Group 2 in 2003 and I completed my Group 1 training in 2008 and have enjoyed judging in most states of Australia, in New Zealand and South Africa and transferred all those licences in 2013 to CATS NSW. International Assignments New Zealand, South Africa ACF Panel: Yes International: Yes
I obtained my shorthair license in 2001 and my longhair license in 2017 after successfully passing all
my assignments and exams as a transfer judge in 2016. I have judged both in New Zealand and
Australia. I’ve relocated to Sydney for a second time and am a member of Cats NSW. I previously spent
some time living in Australia, after the Canterbury earthquakes and was a member of NSW CFA. I
returned to New Zealand in 2012 and applied to re–join the NZCF and judging fraternity. In 2015 I was
elected to the Executive Council. I held the following Portfolios; Judges, IT, Registrations. I ended my
three–year tenure also holding the Vice Chair and the Privacy Officer positions. Over the past 31 years
I have been involved in all the various aspects of the Cat World, breeding, judging, Club committees
and running cat show, including Secretary, Handler, Steward, working in the kitchen, Vet’s assistant,
Entry Clerk, Show Manager and working in the ticket room. In my other life, I currently am an HSSEQ
Advisor, for an international company that provides Facility Management support to companies in the
private and public sectors, Universities and District or City Councils.
INTERNATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS - New Zealand
Since my childhood, I have had animals in my life and it was inevitable that I would be involved with
them as an adult. I purchased two Siamese cats as pets in 1986 and this was invariably my introduction
to the Cat Fancy. I have bred and shown Burmese, Siamese, and Oriental Shorthairs and have had
considerable success under the "Ahzel" prefix. I have also owned a Devon Rex and our household
currently includes a Scottish Fold plus British Shorthairs which I currently show. I have been actively
involved in numerous clubs and have held various positions of Secretary of the Burmese Cat Society
of A/Asia and President of the Oriental Cat Club of NSW. I gained my group 3 judges licence in 1999
followed by group 2 in 2004 and group 1 in 2007. I moved to CATS NSW in 2015.
I have judged in most states of Australia and internationally New Zealand and Philippines

The Veterinarian shall disqualify any exhibit, which in their opinion is showing symptoms of any contagious

infectious or contagious disease they will disqualify all the other exhibits from the same cattery.
If a Vet is not present or has left the hall the Show Manager shall appoint two accredited stewards to check
