welcome...Christmas seems to arrive more quickly each year and with it the rush and stress. It has been scientifically proven that singing can relax us and give us a sense of well-being as many of the choir will testify. We are very proud of how well the Amersham Community Choir is doing and thrilled that in our 3 years we have been able to distribute over £15,000 between the charities shown below and spent £9,000 on our new staging. Thank you for being here tonight and helping us with both the continuing support of local charities and encouragement for the choir. So now, sit back and enjoy the performace.

ELAINE BROWN - Musical DirectorAfter gaining a music degree from Trinity College of London, Elaine then decided to pursue a career in primary education. She now teaches music, part time at The Beacon School alongside running Singing For Pleasure courses with Paul and directing The Amersham Community Choir. In her spare time she enjoys being a grandmother!

PAUL COZENS - Guest ConductorPaul retired from music teaching many years ago and is now headmaster of a prep school in south east London. Since giving up the day job of music teaching he loves running singing courses with Elaine and occasionally conducts and/or performs in the odd musical! He is delighted to be working with Amersham Community Choir again this evening.

MARK KRUTIKOV-KORSMIK - SoloistMark plays an active part in the musical life of The Beacon School. In addition to playing the piano he plays the oboe and is a highly valued member of the Beacon Voices choir, taking part in two overseas choir tours.
