Our flag has two nicknames. One is “Old Glory.” The other
is “The Stars and Stripes.”

An outdoor flag should go up at sunrise. It should go
down at sunset.
Our flag is red, white and blue. Red is for being
strong. White is for purity. Blue is for justice.
Red = be strong.
Blue = justice. White = purity.

Our first flag had 13 stars and 13 stripes. Why do you
think that was?
Astronaut Neil Armstrong put our flag on the
moon in 1969!
