Jason Eric WalshPerris II GM

Jason started at Computrus as a designer when he was 20 yrs old. He had no idea what a truss was at the time. Two years later he was hired by Steve Hawkins to come to Cal Truss to be a in the Truss Estimating department. After a few years Jason left Cal

Truss to a few other Truss plants and came full circle back to Cal Truss as a Sale Rep.

One again hired back by none other than Steve Hawkins, he was contracting Multi-Family projects for Cal Truss and at the same time was introduced to Smart Components. At that point Smart Components had only been being implemented into Commercial projects and Track homes and was really new. He brought our customer Manny to the table and sold him our 1st Multi-Family project in Southern California called McArthur Park in LA. From there Kenny took him in and taught him what he needed to progress into the position he is in.

I remember back at the end of 2014 asking myself, “WHO are we (Sanger) going to BE?” Right about this time Ownership had come into Sanger for a visit and talked to me about growing the CTF culture and investing back into Sanger. This is what we were missing and went hand in hand with my own question of who are we going to be. The next several weeks I worked closely with our Sanger Teams (Office and Production) to put in place a plan to do just what Steve Stroder and I talked about – BUILD THE CTF SANGER CULTURE. Now in early 2015, the Plan was in FULL force steering us into the right direction. Design was all moved into their trailer, the dust had settled with all of the office personnel changes we made, and our Production Yard was now in the middle of its own transformation. I truly believe this next phase of transforming Sanger was the hardest thing we had to do thus far. Over the course of the next several months we would convert over to the Wizard System and processes. The key here was and has been working with the Employees every step of the way to make sure they felt this would be their own system and they could believe in it. We moved all of the Saws into their new buildings that were built 100% by CTF employees.

We started up the Wall Panels lines which were also put together 100% by CTF employees.

This weekend we will be finishing up our latest project, Roofing our NEW buildings now covering our Employees at the Wood tables and Wall Panels Lines. NO MORE TENT CITY…

We are currently in escrow on 10.85 acres that butts up next to our facility to the South. This added land will help us continue to grow and organize the FLOW of the yard while the Sales team expands our Sales Volume.

CTF Sanger has grown 10 fold this last year and only now can I say we have reinvented the culture and who we are here in Sanger.

Anyone who walks the yard can feel the positive environment and see the team working in unison with the same common goal. We are California TrusFrame doing the best we can do every day and I’m proud to lead the team. I’m looking forward to 2016 and the Next phase of our expansion.

Thank you for keeping the Faith and never giving up on Sanger,Jimmy Frausto

Reflecting on Sanger’s Beginnings

It has been a pleasure working with the City of Sanger along with several local municipalities to ensure we are doing everything we can to get our name out there and give back to surrounding communities in the form of Jobs, community service, and volunteering our time. A few times a year CTF participates in Local events. The job fairs introduce CTF first hand to the communities so we can meet with local people looking for employment and life long careers. During Halloween we participated

in one of the Local Church’s Trunk or Treat and Carnival which gave out 4 TONS of candy to over 3,000 kids and provided them with a safer place to be for Halloween. We are looking forward

to this year’s Halloween events.

Another Project that is coming together very nicely is NorthPointe Community Church’s Kids buildings. This is a project I hold close to my heart because we get to participate with several other local Contractors, Engineers, and Architects in the design and construction of (2) buildings for specifically growing and educating the Childrens’ Ministry. These buildings will be reaching out and touching many lives for years to come. This is another opportunity that our CTF family was able to partner with the community and work hand in hand with the people to help improve this place we call our home.

CTF Sanger partnered up with Valley Public Radio and Zumwalt Construction in the building of VPR’s NEW building here in Fresno. CTF was featured in one of their upcoming segments on Local businesses thriving in the Central Valley. See Link below for the Article:

Legacy Framers, a long time CTF customer is predominately known for high volume framing of single family homes and has also built many apartment buildings. CTF and Legacy teamed up this winter on two large 3 story apartment building complexes using Pre-Fab Walls, Smart Components and Top Chord Bearing Floor Trusses. What is truly interesting about this is that Legacy had already built these exact buildings a few years back using conventional shear walls and I-Joists. Even though it has been several years since those last buildings, the memory of fighting the I-Joist floor framing and the go backs for double sided shear walls were still fresh in their minds, so the Smart Components and open web floor trusses were definitely appreciated. Legacy’s project manager worked closely with the CTF design department to keep this job flowing very smoothly. It was fascinating to watch so many large buildings go up with so few framers on site. Every CTF plant provided product for these projects, and we kept it moving right on schedule!
