\, Charles Nqakula, Minister for Safety and Security, have, by virtue of the powersvested in me by section 20(5) of the Private Security Industry Regulation Act, 2001(Act No. 56 of 2001 ) after consultation with the Council for the Private SecurityIndustry Regulatory Authority, exempted the trustees of Milnerton Crime WatchTrust from Regulation 3(3) of the Private Security Industry Regulations, 2002 issuedin terms of the Private Security Industry Regulations Act, 2001, on condition that -

the exemption will only be valid for a period of five years from the datehereof.

• there is no change in the activities of the trust, as set out in its application forexemption

In terms of section 4(zG) of the Pharmacy Act, 1974, as amended, and the RegulationsRelating to the Registration of Persons and the Maintenance of Registers, the fees asdetermined by and payable to the Council for the year 2007 as set out in the Schedule hereto,are hereby published for the information of all relevant stakeholders.

The fees as set out in the Schedule include Value Added Tax (VAT) at 14%.

SCHEDULE

1. The following fees shall, under the Act. be payable to the Council by-

(1) a pharmacy student for-

1. The Council may exempt any person from payment of any annual fee payable interms of item (1) on the grounds of age. The following reduced fees will beconsidered for-

(a) pharmacists aged 70 or older: R121.98;

(b) pharmacists' assistants aged 70 or older: R31.92;

2. Any annual fee payable by a person upon initial registration may be calculated on apro rata basis from the first day of the month in which such registration took placeuntil 31 December of the year of such registration.

3. The following fees will be charged for the sale of registers, examination papers andthe GPP document:

(a) Sale of registers - Pharmacists/Pharmacies: R619.02;(b) Sale of registers - Wholesalers: R257.64;(c) Sale of examination papers (per paper): R34.20;(d) GPP document: R158.46;(e) Pre-registration guide: R139.08;(f) Academic record and curriculum: R342.00.

2 AMENDMENT TO RULE 5.25Any Society that homes puppies or kittens to areas outside their area of jurisdiction must sterilisesuch animals before releasing them to their new owners notwithstanding the provisions of Rule5.9.
