English 1 - Reading Comprehension

English 3 - Letter plan

We would like you to write a letter to your new teacher/teachers. In this letter, you should tell them about you, your interests, what you are good at, what you need help with, what helps you learn etc.

English 4 - Draft your letter

In your exercise book, draft your letter to your teacher. You can decide if you would like the letter to be informal or formal. Remember, your letter needs to be appropriate for your audience (your teacher). The two word mats below may help you with your choice.

English 5 - Publishing your letter

Now that you have written your letter, you need to check it carefully and edit it. Remember, this might be the first time that your new teacher/s have seen any of your writing and you want to impress them!!

Once you have edited it and it is the best that it can be, publish your letter so that you can give it to your new teacher when you see them. We are really looking forward to reading these!

You might like to publish it on the computer or on lined paper in your best, joined handwriting.
