systems have full extension drawers, provid-

ing complete visibility and easy access to all

drawer contents. And the base of our lockers is

galvanised to prevent it from corroding when,

for example, wet shoes are placed inside or the

fl oor is washed. That is why we call ours systems

intelligent storage.

WheelsSturdy wheels with appropriate load capa-cities are part and parcel of intelligent solutions. Such high-quality wheels also improve workstation ergonomics as they allow the units to be easily moved. We of-fer a wide range of wheel types, depend-ing on individual storage requirements.

LocksThe need to lock drawers, cabinets and lockers varies. Blika therefore offers seve-ral different lock types, including among others combination locks, central locks, cylinder locks and electronic locks. The ideal lock for any particular need can thus always be found.

Drawer slidesBlika drawers are designed to be opened and closed, again and again. High-quality slides are therefore used in all our drawer units. In addition, full extension drawers are just part of the intelligent storage solu-tion provided by our drawer cabinets and many of our mobile workstations.

GalvanisationIn Blika systems, exposed surfaces (e.g. cabinet bases and shelves) are galva-nised to prevent corrosion. Galfan® is used for this purpose as it provides supe-rior corrosion protection.

Flexible, mobile workstations Blika’s VVM modular mobile workstations are highly fl exible. As they are based on Blika’s drawer and tool cabinets, mobile workstations can be designed to precisely fi t your needs. In the VVM series, you your-self choose the cabinets to be used. Are there to be shelves, drawers or both? How many drawers are

required? And in which heights? The choice is yours. You are also free to choose multiplex or metal work-top, drawer dividers and elevating tool panel. You thus receive a sturdy mobile workstation customised to suit your particular needs.

Robust quality through and throughBlika’s VV-2 and VV-3 Mobile workstation series are ro-bust mobile workstations. Both series are based on the same cabinet but there are many possibilities for cus-tomisation and accessories, e.g. elevating tool panel. Rolling resistance is minimal and little effort is required to push the mobile workstations around, making them

highly fl exible workstations, which are easy to use. VV-2 is a high-quality series, ideal for most situations. The VV-3 series also offers drawer stops, ball bearing slides, drawing pocket and double-walled door. Furthermore, the many accessory options and higher load capacity of the drawers make the VV-3 a sturdy choice.

3 or 4 fi xed tool panel can be fi tted, allowing tools to be ac-cessed from both sides.

The basic model in the VV-3 series is equipped with beech parquet worktop and steel surround, 5 drawers with sturdy steel ball bearing slides and drawer stops. Each drawer has a capacity of 46 kg. The cupboard has a double-walled metal door, integrated tool board and 1 adjustable galvanised shelf.

Drawer cabinets that can take the loadWith Blika’s HUNI drawer cabinets, designing your own intelligent storage system is easy. HUNI drawer cabinets are exceptionally heavy-duty and robust,

with high load capacities. You yourself decide the height of the cabinet, the number of drawers, their layout and load capacity, etc.

You decide load capacity. With 4 ball bearings, max. load is 100 kg with 80% utilisation of drawer space. With 8 ball bearings, max. load is 200 kg, with 100% utilisation of drawer space.

Many different partitioning options are available, including inserts, trays and steel dividers.

The use of a closed plinth raises the cabinet off the fl oor making it more user friendly.

The use of wheels makes the cabinet mobile.

You decide number of draw-ers. Cabinets are available with any number of drawers between 4 and 20.

Tool cabinetsBlika’s fully welded Tool cabinets are suitable for storing almost anything. They meet requirements for the storage of tools, machinery, overalls, documents and even nuts and bolts. Cabinets are available in a

variety of sizes and layouts. MS-2 and MSG-3 are uni-versal cabinets with lots of space and many fi tting out possibilities. If less storage space is required, MS-2 in a smaller size should be chosen.

Fluid storage cabinets

Optimum storage of chemicalsBlika fl uid storage cabinets are designed to provide safe and correct storage of chemicals. The cabinets are fully welded and offer several intelligent features, including for example galvanised shelves, plastic

drip trays with drainage facility and 2 venting valves. The tops of the cabinets are also equipped with an outlet for connection to an air extraction system.

Easily cleaned plastic drip tray prevents any spilt liquids from spreading within the cabinet.

External hinging provides 180° door opening.

2 disc valves on the left-hand side of the cabinet ensure airing and ventilation.

Computer-friendly environmentIT equipment must be protected from dust and dirt, and kept safely away from unauthorised persons. Blika computer cabinets are ideal for the secure stor-

age of IT equipment, whether used daily or seldom. Cable entries, built-in ventilation and ergonomic design are integrated features of Blika computer cabinets.

Flexible computer cabinet with pull-out shelf for laptop. The cupboard is equipped with a galvanised shelf and the cabinet top has a non-slip rubber mat where small items can be placed. A wheeled base can be fi tted to increase mobility.

Robust, fully welded, fl oor-standing cabinet containing monitor compartment with clear Lexan door, pull-out shelf for keyboard and mouse, and lower compartment for storage of CPU, printer and folders. The power supply panel has 4 earthed outlets and main switch. Cables are led through a rubber sleeve on the rear of the cabinet. Shown here on 130 mm plinth.

All computer cabinets are sup-plied with cylinder lock. CS-1 and CS-4 are centrally locked and thus easily secured.

CS-1 and CS-2 have a fan and dust fi lter to create overpres-sure within the cabinet and prevent dust and dirt from entering.

Design the ideal locker systemThe Modufl ex-range contains both single-tier and multi-tier lockers, providing countless possibilities for designing an ideal solution with respect to number of compartments, locking system, colour, etc. GDT lockers have separate compartments and a conti-nuous hat shelf along the top. Charging and safe storage in a single lockerSchools, colleges and universities generally contain much IT equipment, and as the premises are used by many people, safe storage is of prime importance. The equipment must, however, be ready for use at all times. Blika has therefore designed a storage locker with battery charging facilities for laptop computers

Ideal changing room facilitiesBlika’s bench systems are designed to either stand alone or be combined with Blika lockers to provide complete changing room solutions. The benches have a discreet design which harmonises naturally with other Blika products no matter whether Vision or Modufl ex lockers are used.

Double-sided bench with back support and coat rack. Seat and back in solid varnished pine. Seat height is 417 mm and the bench is equipped with plastic adjustment screws. Best practice for changing room designStorage of clothing

It must be possible to store non-work clothes and work clothes properly. Such storage must be provided in a cloakroom or changing room.

Depending on conditions, cloakroom facilities can con-sist of coat rails, lockers, hooks, etc.

Lockers should generally be provided if clothes are to be stored within work areas. Coat rails, hooks, etc. may, however, be used in areas where only few people are employed and no dusty or dirty work is performed. This typically applies to offi ces.

Coat rails must provide at least 20 cm of space for each employee.

Lockable storage of personal belongings must also be provided. Where no lockable clothes lockers are avail-able, such storage can be provided in the form of a lockable bag box (25x30x50 cm), lockable drawer in own desk, etc.

Changing rooms

Changing room facilities must be provided if employ-ees are required to change from non-work clothes to work clothes.

This applies in the following situations, among others:

where it is necessary for health and safety reasons to use personal protection devices that require a change of clothing, or

when the work is dirty, e.g. in auto repair workshops, foundries or farms, or

where employees must change into uniform.

Men and women must be able to change their clothes undisturbed, either in separate changing rooms or by ta-king it in turns to use a single lockable changing room.

Changing rooms must be maintained at a suitable tem-perature, and adequate ventilation must be provided.

There must be at least 1 m² of fl oor space per person. Any part of the room with less than 2 m to the ceiling must not be included in fl oor area calculations.

There must be an average height of 2.2 m from fl oor to ceiling.

Changing rooms must be equipped with a suitable number of seats.

Changing rooms must contain one lockable locker per employee.

Where work clothes usually become dirty, they must be stored separately from non-work clothes, e.g. in an extra locker for each employee, on a clothes rail or in a drying room. This applies, for example, in the fi sh and meat processing industries and auto repair and spray paint workshops.

If the work performed entails a risk of work clothes be-coming wet, separate drying facilities must be provi-

ded in which the clothes can be dried within a suitable length of time. By a suitable length of time, the Danish Working Environment Authority means the time re-quired to dry the clothing before it is due to be worn again.

There must be at least 1.2 m between adjacent rows of lockers and between a row of lockers and a wall or row of wash hand basins. In case of long rows of lockers, this distance should be increased.

Inside locker dimensions must be at least 30x50x170 cm.

Lockers containing separate compartments must be at least 60x50x170 cm. Lockers must be equipped with a shelf. There must be ventilation holes at the top and bottom of the locker and it must be easy to clean. It is recommended that the locker base be made of perfo-rated plate or wire mesh and that the locker be equip-ped with a sloping top.
