Product types of MRS Greifer GmbH
We are producers of all kind of grabs with volumes up from 0,1 m³ to 50 m³ and up to 30 tons dead weight. The pre-sorting of the various types is as follows:
Rope GrabA rope grab works by means of a pull of the rope over a pulley (closing ropes are reeved in several times in the grab rope pulleys). Hereby is a distinction between single-line, double-rope or four-rope grabs (depending on the numbers of closing and holding ropes existing at the crane).
Motor GrabA motor grab has its own drive unit consisting of motor, pump and hydraulic control elements. The power supply comes from the crane via an electrical power feeding. The grab only has to be connected with the crane hook and the electrical power feeding and than it is ready for operation.
Hydraulic GrabA hydraulic grab does not have an own drive unit, the power comes direct from the hydraulic dredger or from the hydraulic crane via the hydraulic hoses.

Sight into the production
PlanningThe aim of the planning should be to find out the ideal grab according to the customers requirement.The most important criterions for this are:What kind of bulk or piece goods will be handled The structure of the bulk or piece goods The existing crane The working conditions What type of grab is suitable
Design departmentThe design department works out the ordered grab. Here are most modern technologies available, for example a 3D-CAD system. Performed software, qualified engineers and the selection of the right material enables a product with an excellent and reliable handling capacity.
ManufacturingIn the factory theory turns into practice. Modern machines as well as especially trained personnel are working together in optimal designed working processes.
MRS Greifer obtained the certificate "Comprehensive form of verification for welding" which verifies, that the company is in possession of the necessary equipment and corresponding staff to execute welding works professionally.
All working steps, from planning up to varnishing and delivery of the finish product are in only one hand.
Short-term action in case of supplying spare parts or sending our technician will be ensured. This is because we hold an extensive stock of mechanical and hydraulic spare parts.
