NATIONAL PRODUCTIVITY CORPORATION

PENGENALANPerbadanan Produktiviti Negara

Pusat Daya Pengeluaran Negara telah ditubuhkanpada tahun 1962 sebagai satu projek bersama diantara Kumpulan Wang Khas Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatudengan Kerajaan Persekutuan, dan Pertubuhan BuruhAntarabangsa sebagai Pentadbirnya.

Dalam tahun 1966 Akta (Memperbadankan)Majlis Daya Pengeluaran Negara Bilangan 19 telahdiluluskan oleh Parlimen dan Majlis menjadi sebuahbadan yang berkuasa sendiri mulai daripada 1 hb.Mac, 1966. Akta ini dipinda oleh Akta (pindaan)(Memperbadankan) Majlis Daya Pengeluaran Negara1975 (Akta A305 tahun 1975) sejajar dengan usaha-usaha perkembangan Pusat ini. Ahli-ahli Majlis adalahdilantik oleh Menteri Perdagangan Antarabangsadan Industri. Pusat ini diberi bantuan oleh kerajaansehingga sampai kepada masa ia boleh berdikari.

Dalam tahun 1991, Akta Majlis DayaPengeluaran Negara telah dipinda dan diluluskanoleh Parlimen dan dengan ini nama Majlis DayaPengeluaran Negara diganti dengan PerbadananProduktiviti Negara (NPC).

Peranan NPC

Perbadanan Produktiviti Negara (NPC) telahdiwujudkan untuk memainkan peranan yang pentingdalam menghayati dan mengembangkan budayakualiti dan produktiviti di kalangan tenaga pekerja,persekitaran dan iklim organisasi. Dalam usahamenerap kefahaman, kesedaran dankebolehlaksanaan budaya kualiti dan produktiviti dikalangan masyarakat industri yang menjadi matlamatDasar Pembangunan Nasional dan Wawasan 2020,NPC telah menyediakan operasi yang strategikberpandukan kepada visi, misi dan objektif berikut:

Kualiti di dalam negara.

Objektif• Untuk membangun tenaga manusia dan

INTRODUCTIONNational Productivity Corporation

The National Productivity Centre was estab -lished in 1962 as a joint project by the United NationsSpecial Fund and the Federal Government with theInternational Labour Organisation as the executiveagency.

In 1966 the National Productivity Council (In-corporation) Act No. 19 was passed by Parliamentand the Council became an autonomous body effec-tive as from 1st March 1966. The Act was subse-quently amended by the National Productivity Coun-cil (Incorporation) (Amendment) Act 1975 (Act A305of 1975} to keep in line with the expanding activitiesof the Centre. The members of the Council areappointed by the Minister of International Trade andIndustry. The Centre is subsidised by the governmentuntil such time as it becomes self-supporting.

In 1991. National Productivity Council Act wasamended and approved by Parliament. NationalProductivity Corporation (NPC) was accepted toreplace National Productivity Council.

NPC's Roie

National Productivity Corporation (NPC) wasestablished to play an important rote in the involve-ment and enhancement of quality and productivityculture within the human resources, environmentand organisational climate. As an effort to inculcateunderstanding and awareness of quality and produc-tivity within the industries, which is the objective ofthe National Development Plan and Vision 2020,NPC has provided a strategic operation based on thefollowing vision, mission and objectives:

Country.

Mission• To help increase the Productivity and Quality of

the nation.

Objectives• To develop the human resources and enterprise

towards excellence.• To advise the government and private sectors on

Productivity and Quality issues and development• To help create local experts and expertise in the

• Untuk menasihati kerajaan dan sektor swastatentang isu-isu dan perkembangan Produktivitidan Kualiti.

• Untuk membantu mewujudkan pakar dankepakaran tempatan dalam bidang Produktiuitidan Kualiti, pengurusan, keusahawanan danpenyeliaan.

Kaedah-kaedah Latihan

Soal/jawab dan perbincangan adalah ditekankan.Latihan secara tidak formal dalam bentuk syarahan,perbincangan sindiket dan kajian kes boleh membawakepada suasana latihan yang sesuai bagi orang dewasa.Perunding juga mengadakan lawatan susulan untukmemberi panduan dan bantuan lanjut terutamanyamengenai projek praktikal yang dijalankan di kilangoleh peserta-peserta kursus. Kursus-kursusdiperlengkapkan dengan filem-filem yang berkaitandengan pengurusan, sessi 'role play', rakaman video,makmal komputer dan lawatan sambil belajar. Waktukursus adalah dari 9.00 pagi hingga 4.00 petang.

Permohonan bagi mengikuti kursus-kursushendaklah dibuat dengan mcmenuhi BorangPendaftaran Kursus yang dilampirkan di dalam bukuini.

Penganugerahan Sijil

NPC mengeluarkan Sijil Kehadiran kepada setiappeserta yang menyertai semua sesi di dalam setiapkursus latihan tanpa ujian.

Method of Instruction

Questions/answers and discussions are empha-sised. Informal instruction in the form of lectures,syndicate discussions and case studies created anatmosphere conducive to adult learning. The consult-ant also carry out follow-up uisits to giue furtherguidance and assistance, particularly in the case ofinplant practical projects being carried out by thecourse participants. The courses are supplementedwith releuant management film, role play sessions,video recordings, computers and study visits. Train-ing programmes are normally conducted from 9.00am to 4.00 pm.

Application for admission should be made onthe Course Registration Form which is included withthis booklet.

Awarding of Certificate

NPC issues a Certificate of Attendance to everyparticipant who attends all the sessions of each nonexamination training course.
