SUSTAINABILITY IS MORE THAN ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.

Sustainability means conducting business fairly, with a sense of responsibility towards people and the environment. For Kärcher,

sustainability is a firmly anchored corporate goal, practised for decades: sound finances and appropriate earnings achieved in fair

dealings with others, along with the responsible use of resources.

Less is more. And less can do more.

The primary aim of Kärcher eco!efficiency is to reduce the consumption

of resources and energy with a cleaning performance that is tailored to

specific applications. In order to calculate the possible savings in energy

and CO₂ emissions over the service life of the machine and render them

comparable, these were calculated based on the example of our T 12/1

and T 12/1 eco!efficiency dry vacuum cleaners. TÜV SÜD Industrie Service

GmbH verified and confirmed the plausibility of the methodology for

calculating greenhouse gas emissions in the utilisation phase of the T 12/1

eco!efficiency against benchmarks. Based on this methodology, Kärcher

calculated that all T 12/1 eco!efficiency dry vacuum cleaners sold to

date will save around 6000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions throughout their

service life. All Kärcher eco!efficiency machines in total will save about

2,500,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e. V. (VDMA), includes about

3 Tank/ Silo / Container solutions

Our system solutions are based on modular components which we configure

according to the customer‘s specifications. All requests are addressed, and

any system can be upgraded at any time. Benefit from our environmentally

operating costs and work very efficiently throughout the long lifetime of

the components.

4 System solutions for reactors and boilers

A variety of chemicals can be effectively cleaned with various cleaning

agents, such as solvents, acids or lye. Our solutions are very powerful

with low operating costs and particularly efficient in the circulation mode.

Our systems are always ready to use and independent of external service

providers. The investment costs are quickly amortised through maximum

utilisation of working time and a quick response capacity in the event of

urgent need. We offer comprehensive solutions for the cleaning of agitator

vessels, reactors, IBC containers and drums.

1 Industrial vacuums/extraction systems

Neat, clean production processes (e. g. metal processing) help assure high

product quality. Our extraction solutions are particularly economical due to

long usage cycles. Where toxic or explosive dust is vacuumed, the protection

of the operator has the highest priority. Our solutions meet the highest

safety standards.

2 Stationary systems

Stationary high-pressure units supply remotely installed points of use

through a pipeline system, whereby hot or cold water operation and mul-

tiple lance operation are possible. These solutions save space, are ready to

use, and offer maximum operational flexibility. Their applications include

butchers and slaughterhouses, food production in general, cruise ships,

swimming pools and spas, and industrial production systems.

7 Dry ice blasting machines

Cleaning with dry ice leaves no moisture or abrasive material residue.

Thanks to the “Cleaning in Place” option, almost always without disassembly

of the machine, downtime as well as servicing and maintenance costs are

greatly reduced. Dry ice blasting is very gentle and spotlessly cleans even

sensitive surfaces. There is no damage to the object being cleaned, and

the lifetime of the components is extended. Additionally, dry ice blasting

requires no cleaning agents or other additives. Without chemicals, waste

disposal costs are also eliminated.

5 Ultra-high pressure solutions

Cleaning and clearing with water under very high pressure is a versatile

technique that is also gentle on the material being processed and on the

environment. Aggregates with maximum power and a high level of effi-

ciency reduce the consumption of diesel and electricity and thus operating

costs. We combine our passion for technology and high standards of quality

in products with long working times and low service requirements. With

our ultra-high pressure systems, we are able to cover a wide spectrum of

applications, including, for example, the repair and removal of concrete,

the cleaning of pipes and bundles of pipes, cleaning the interiors of sieves,

filters and tanks, the removal of coatings and paints, rust removal, surface

preparation, and abrasive cutting, as well as all types of surface removal.

6 Universal industrial products

Cleaning of surfaces in inside and outside areas

Kärcher sweepers and scrubber driers are efficient, reliable and easy to

operate. For cleaning corridors, pathways, and storage areas, e. g. these

machines have impressively low operating costs and long lifetimes.

Parts cleaning in production and maintenance

The efficient cleaning of parts or components by means of an automatic

washing programme ensures continuous cleanliness and product quality.

Cleanliness throughout the entire production process

Steaming and suction in one pass. Our modern steam vacuum cleaner

provides efficient degreasing of machines and components as well as floors

and walls.
