«WE MODEL THE REALITY WITH GEOGEBRA»PROGETTO ETWINNING
ANNO SCOLASTICO 2015 – 2016 CLASSE III B
SCUOLA SECONDARIA DI I GRADO «A. MANZONI» - MONTELEONE DI PUGLIA
ICS ACCADIA - ITALIA
LA CLASSE IIIB PARTECIPA AL PROGETTO
A PROPOSITO DEL PROGETTO
• The project "We Model Reality with Geogebra" aims to lead the students to the observation of the world around
them, to think about funtions` graphics and to promote the research of relationships between mathematical concepts
and real objects. It also wants to enhance the students’ computers skills through the use of specific software for
mathematics.
• OBIETTIVI
To better understand the most elementary mathematical functions such as straight line, parables and hyperboles.
To motivate students to the study of mathematics;
To promote the interest in knowledge;
To consolidate knowledge, develop soft skills particularly in mathematics, technology, and English;
To develop inductive-deductive method, a reflective attitude, a sense of responsibility, autonomy and critical thinking;
To encourage innovation practice teaching, including through the 'use of information and communications technology
(ICT);
To develop social relations and cooperation;
To strengthen interpersonal relationships;
To develop skills such as mathematical reasoning, communication, problem solving through the teaching practice of
learning by doing.
PROCEDURA DI LAVORO• TOOLS: TwinSpace, Youtube, Google Drive, Geogebra, Padlet, Digital Board “Lino”, ISSUU,
STEPS
Step 1 - Collaborative planning using Google Drive;
Step 2 - Presentation of the project to the students and collection of suggestions;
Step 3 - Presentation of some digital tools and educational software that can be used for the
development of the project;
Step 4 - Exploration the potential of mathematical software GeoGebra;
Step 5 - Register of students on TwinSpace;
Step 6 - Formation of working groups with students of different nationalities;
Step 7 - Identify functions` graphics on objects/buildings to be modeled;
Step 8 - Share the information collected and trigger the production of a final product;
Step 8 - Modulation of the graphics identified using GeoGebra;
Step 9 - Teachers and students of the partner schools use Skype to expose/show their progress;
Step 10 - The final product is published in TwinSpace and made known to the school community
Step 11 – Avaluation of the work developed
RISULTATI ATTESI
• Presentation of the results of the work conducted by the students
through the creation of an e-Book, that can be offered to the
school library already printed, and on an exhibition.
Publication on the website of the school of the students' work and
shows during the show end of school year.

RISULTATI FINALI
