Dear Friends
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2019 Val d’Isère Shoulder Course. This 11th edition will take place in the newly and beautifully restyled Centre des Congrès with its whole team ready to welcome you in a friendly atmosphere.
The amazing field of shoulder surgery and arthroscopy is in continuing evolution and world famous experts will be there to discuss with you and update your knowledge. The Faculty will this year introduce new speakers beside historical leaders.
Shoulder anterior instability is rich of many procedures to treat our patients (Latarjet, Bankart, Eden Hybinette), all of them being performed arthroscopically. In addition, re-visited Trillat procedure is now back on stage (why and how?).
Rotator cuff pathology care benefits from various options and questions still arise: Repairs (knotted or knotless?), tendon transfers (when? under scope?), SCR (what the hell!?) and biology (is this really useful?).
Imaging techniques take an increasing importance in our routine practice. What’s new in this field? How to and when use ultrasound? (don’t miss live ultrasound workshop!)
Many other topics will be screened and the place of arthroscopy discussed.
Apart from other meetings, the Val d’Isère Shoulder Course will allow you to attend true “fights” (under the supervision of a referee…) and you will design the winner. You can also expect to be chosen to come up on the stage and be an invited Faculty because we learn from each other through discussions!
Once again, the outstanding Val d’Isère resort, heart of the French Alps, will welcome you from January 20th to 25th for the unique Val d’Isère Shoulder Course!
See you soon!
Lionel Neyton, Alex Lädermann and Philippe CollinCourse chairmen
