Sub-Committee on Theatre Visits – Decision The Sub-Committee on Theatre Visits decided at a meeting on 30 May not to organize a club theatre visit this fall because the steadily declining interest of members in such visits does not justify the work involved. Perhaps members prefer to organize their own excursions to the excellent and reasonably priced Drayton Entertainment shows the committee has been favouring. Perhaps two outings a year is one too many or interest will be revived if the committee organizes an excursion next spring to a show produced by some other theatre group. This it will consider when theatre companies announce their 2018 productions.
John R. Campbell, Sub-Committee Chair Comments welcomed. [email protected] 519-763-9771

Choir Invitation
Come and join the GWMC choir and help celebrate our 20th year. New members who like to sing and have fun are needed. We practice every Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the ICC prior to the regular GWMC meeting. Once a month, starting in Oct. until April, the choir sings, by invitation, at various venues e.g. St. Joseph’s Hospital and various retirement homes in and around Guelph. These concerts are enjoyed by both the residents and the choir. You do not need to know how to read music or have had previous choral singing experience. If you love singing and having fun the choir is the place for you!
Choir rehearsals will start Tuesday Sept. 12, 2017. So, mark your calendar and we will see you there.
Fall Golf Tournament The fall golf tournament will be held at the
Guelph Golf and Curling Club
Wednesday, 20 September 8.30 – 2.00 pm
Details will be announced at general meetings.
