Course Descriptions
ELE5561 PLC FUNDAMENTALS – LEVEL IObtain the fundamental skills needed for the operation of
programmable controllers using SLC 500 systems w ith
RSLogix 500 softw are and Modicon 984 systems. Participants
are introduced to the internal operations, the fundamentals
needed to communicate w ith the systems and how the systemsare used to control industrial applications. Know ledge in relay
logic is recommended.
ELE5562 PLC PROGRAMMING AND DIANOSTICS –LEVEL II
Develop beyond the fundamental skills of programming and
learn the skills needed to plan, organize, w rite, enter, test and
document programs using RSLogix 500 softw are. Learn to edit, upload, download, save and restore program instructions. This
course also deals extensively in the use of bit level timers,
counters, conversion, math, comparison, data manipulation and
diagnostic instructions. Prerequisite(s):?ELE5561
ELE5563 PLC ADVANCED PROGRAMMING – LEVEL III
Move into advanced programming using the SLC 500 Systems
and learn selectable timed interrupt routines, fault routines, I/Ointerrupts, jump commands along w ith applications using these
instructions. Learn how to set up DH_485 or Data Highw ay
Plus communications in a SLC system using RSLogix 500
softw are. Prerequisite(s):?ELE5562
ELE5604 PLC DESIGNING AND CONFIGURING A
DEVICENET NETWORK – LEVEL IV
This course provides the skills necessary to design and configure
a DeviceNet network. The course begins w ith an introduction tospecifications for node quantities, device and network media
selection, cable length calculation and pow er requirements and
placement. The configuring section of the course covers the
data exchange flow in a network using RSNetw ork softw are toconfigure, monitor and validate a DeviceNet netw ork.
Prerequisite(s):?ELE5563
ELE5605 PLC MAINTAINING ANDTROUBLESHOOTING A DEVICENET NETWORK – LEVEL V
This course provides the skills necessary to maintain and
troubleshoot a complex DeviceNet netw ork using different
hardware and softw are configurations. A workstation w ithDeviceNet devices (AC drives) is used to simulate a DeviceNet
Netw ork. Prerequisite(s):?ELE5604
