Participants are introduced to the internal operations, the fundamentals needed to communicate w ith the systems and how the systems are used to control industrial applications. Know ledge in relay logic is recommended. ELE5562 PLC PROGRAMMING AND DIANOSTICS – LEVEL II Develop beyond the fundamental skills of programming and learn the skills needed to plan, organize, w rite, enter, test and document programs using RSLogix 500 softw are. Learn to edit, upload, download, save and restore program instructions. This course also deals extensively in the use of bit level timers, counters, conversion, math, comparison, data manipulation and diagnostic instructions. Prerequisite(s):?ELE5561 ELE5563 PLC ADVANCED PROGRAMMING – LEVEL III Move into advanced programming using the SLC 500 Systems and learn selectable timed interrupt routines, fault routines, I/O interrupts, jump commands along w ith applications using these instructions. Learn how to set up DH_485 or Data Highw ay Plus communications in a SLC system using RSLogix 500 softw are. Prerequisite(s):?ELE5562 ELE5604 PLC DESIGNING AND CONFIGURING A DEVICENET NETWORK – LEVEL IV This course provides the skills necessary to design and configure a DeviceNet network. The course begins w ith an introduction to specifications for node quantities, device and network media selection, cable length calculation and pow er requirements and placement. The configuring section of the course covers the data exchange flow in a network using RSNetw ork softw are to configure, monitor and validate a DeviceNet netw ork. PROCESS CONTROL INSTRUMENTATION TECHNOLOGY

This course w ill introduce students to the fundamentals of

modern control systems analysis and design and to processcontrol instrumentation technology. Participants w ill develop

complex and sophisticated applications using RSLogix 500,

RSLinx, RSTune, PanelView and PanelBuilder, MATLAB and
