20 March 2017

The National Committee for Reducing Environmental Pollution

is responsible to manage, coordinate and monitor the

implementation of the Program at the national level;

Members of the Government, governors of aimags and

capital city are responsible to implement the Program;

According to the resolution:

The Minister of Environment and Tourism, the Minister of

Finance, members of the Government, and governors of

aimags and capital city are responsible for financing the

program through partnerships of public and private sectors,

including state and local budgets, loans and grants from

foreign countries and international organizations.

Filters in 220 chimneys of HOBs are installed.

Upgraded briquette fuel factory with a capacity of 600K tons per

year was established and 450 K tons of fuel was fully supplied to

households in ger area.

Heating of state 36 organizations is supplied from HOBs to

electric, natural gas and geothermal heating.

Decontaminated devices are installed on 400 public transport

buses.

Land acquisition for Khuchit Shonkhor power substation was

made to supply heat for 20 K households.

Project on biotechnological treatment of gray water from the

central treatment plant was initiated.

Installation of smoke filters in chimneys of heating stoves in aimags to reduce

pollutant emissions

Support the monitoring on major entrance roads to Ulaanbaatar as part of

implementation of the decision to ban the consumption of raw coal

Over 4000 volunteers on controlling the consumption of raw coal,

briquette fuel, waste

Database system of emission inventories of pollutants and waste

Implement a pilot project to incinerate and dispose of wastewater from ger

area treatment facility through an environmentally friendly manner
