• Eating, drinking & chewing gum in class• Cheating• Class tardiness• Talking / disruption• Horseplay• Inappropriate noises• Late, missing, or incomplete

homework/assignments• Littering• Occasional Defiance• Negative Attitude• No-Show for detention

following offenses:

• Chronic defiance• Chronic disruption• Committing obscene acts• Continued harassment• Falsely reporting a fire or bomb• Fighting

should be followed at this level. Following are recommended strategies that

can be implemented in the classroom to address targeted behaviors:

•Change seat

•Reflective Essay

•Behavior Letter

•Buddy system

Teacher Component Cont.After having implemented a combination

of these strategies to address a specific behavior and the behavior has not improved and/or it has become chronic, you may refer to the Dean. Submit the completed referral form, and provide documentation of previous actions taken.

Once the student is referred, the Dean will determine appropriate consequence according to the offense and previous record.

Progressive Discipline may once again start at this level.
