    Project Overview

A challenging bore path approximately 1200 long, under the Oneida River, through cobble, was one of the most difficult soil conditions the contractor had ever seen. On the first run, they lost the carbide cone and the coating was scarred down to wall loss. Things couldnt get much worse. An engineer suggested that the cone was dragging at the tangent and the scarring certainly indicated that he was correct. What to do

    now?

They couldnt locate the carbide cone, and drilling another hole could cost approximately 1.5 million dollars. Several of the crew members had seen successful Scar-Guard applications across the US with maximum protection so they called the

    experts.

Step 1: Test pull of 300 section using Scar-Guard for visual inspection PASS. Step 2: Wrap the first 300 then every weld to provide maximum protection. Step 3: Sleep well knowing weve protected the long term integrity of the pipeline!
