YET!Let me highlight one research project, the DARPA Robotics Challenge.

DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, is the agency that brought us the Internet, GPS, wireless communications, and fibre optics.

When the Fukushima nuclear reactor disaster occurred in 2011, humans could not get in to save the plant. It was too dangerous.

What do you do? Send in a robot!

Too bad robots cant YET.

Here is a video of how our team did on these tasks in the DARPA Robotics Challenge. We programmed an Atlas robot built by Waltham-based Boston Dynamics.6DARPA Robotics Challenge

No team came as far as fast as WPI. We had the most diverse team, from freshmen sophs, juniors, seniors on their MQPs, MS and PhD students on their thesis research, post-docs, engineers, faculty. 7Short (2 min)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL3gMu76Nik
