ProNails promised to be innovative and you might have noticed that this really is

part of our company’s DNA. We don’t just want to innovate; we want to create new

A good example of that is the ProNails nail polish bottle. And in the mean time we’ve

This winter we’re pleased to present to you our new gel jar. The ProNails gel jar has

been developed with you in mind and thanks to your valuable feedback. This is the

most functional jar ever designed that you just can’t do without. As a manufacturer we

also take responsibility to continuously reduce our ecological footprint. With this new

gel jar, we’re proud to say we managed just that. This ingenious design has also been

elegantly shaped, as it suits ProNails.

1. Apply ProNails Nail Polish n° 141 Red

Canapé to the full nail.

2. With sharp scissors, cut out square

shaped stamps out of the ProNails

Nail Art Sponge as shown. Apply

the first square by using Propaint

Soleil d’Orange. Carefully shape the

sides of the square.

3. Continue with your second stamp

and a mixtures of Propaint Sable Fin

and Propaint Divine to obtain an off-

white colour.

4. Seal with your favourite gloss.

You can adapt this Rothko design

according to the shown variations.

1. Apply ProNails Gellak n° 137 Blind Date in 2 layers on all nails

following the protocol. Cure each layer for 2 minutes with the

UV lamp, or 30 seconds with THE LIGHT.

2. Cut stripes out of the Mother Of Pearl patch Athena. Make it softer by softly

crushing it with your fingers. Remove the white base paper and stick onto the nail

as shown.

3. Put some ProNails Gellak n° 140 Shopping Spree on the Nail

Art Sponge and stamp onto the nail. Cure for 2 minutes with

the UV lamp, or 30 seconds with THE LIGHT.

4. Buff the full nail with the New Generation File. Apply Propaint Divine in an irregu-

lar diagonal line as shown using a One Stroke Brush Off Cut.

5. Add fine lines with Striping Colour White and Striping Colour

Black. Seal the design with Gellak Shine & Protect and watch

the mother of pearl effect reappear! Cure for 4 minutes with

the UV lamp, or 2 minutes with THE LIGHT.

Apply ProNails Nail Polish n° 344 Dusty Brick

on the full nail plate. Let the nail polish dry

completely. Put some ProNails Foil Transfer

Glue into a little jar. Take your Graffiti Brush

Medium and strike some Foil Transfer Glue

over the nail plate, in perpendicular direction

to your fingers. Allow only the outer tips of

the brush hairs to touch the nail plate. Let

the Foil Transfer Glue become transparent.

Strike the nail foil over the nail in order for

the foil to transfer. Protect your design with

your favourite gloss.

TIP: This nail art can also be done with

ProNails Gellak or Permanent Nail Colours.

In this case cure the colour gel first before

adding the foil glue and foil.

HOW YOU DO IT

Apply the studs with the Long Bended Tweezer in the desired position onto your wet

nail polish, or onto the sticky layer of your colour gel (if used on a ProNails Gellak

colour, cure the Gellak only after positioning the studs). Once your nail polish has

dried or your colour gel is fully cured, you can add some extra Striping Tape Metallic

Red to the design. Just cut it at the desired length and stick it on. Protect the design

with your favourite gloss to prevent the embellishments from releasing.

At ProNails, innovation is a state of mind.

We’re continuously working on innovation and

optimization. Questioning ourselves and the

way we do things. Because there is always room

for improvement. For several months we’ve

been turning our gel pot inside out and have

searched for ways to meet your needs even

better. The result is an ingenious combination of

sustainability, functionality and elegance.


Sustainability

It is our responsibility as a manufacturer to strive for continuous reduction of our eco-

logical footprint. In recognition of our continuous efforts, among which the design of

this new gel jar, we have received the “Environment Charter Certificate” for our pro-

active environmental policy.

In terms of sustainability the new ProNails gel jar breaks all records. Black polypropy-

lene – the new material the gel jar is made of – can be optimally recycled and during

its production less energy is consumed.

What’s more, the new gel jar is extra light: it weighs 60% less than before! This means

a lowered ecological footprint, also during transport. And because all product infor-

mation is mentioned on the lid, with additional information in the booklet label on the

bottom, there is no need for a cardboard box or insert leaflet. This means considerably

less waste, also in your salon.

Super functional

An important advantage of the new design is the ease of use. Thanks to the solid base

the gel jar is very stable and won’t turn over. The bottom holds a circular slit making

the jars easily stackable and neatly storable. Practical! The polypropylene used for

both the jar and the lid, is perfectly compatible with the chemical composition of our

gels. This makes them extremely resistant.

Each component has been thoroughly thought through and tested. On top of the

inner cup there’s a masterly designed sealing edge going inwards for some millime-

tres. This ensures that your gel stays perfectly in the jar at all times. Moreover this

edge is very practical to stroke off your gel brush. The temporary seal can therefore

be completely removed at first use.

The luxurious coloured ring at the bottom edge of the lid brings visual clarity between

1. Take your Graffiti Brush Medium and spread out a small amount of Gellak n°26

Black Saint on the shiny side of a paper form. After 10 seconds the Gellak will

shrink automatically which then results in a nice pattern on the paper. Cure the

design remaining on the paper. After curing, gently remove the Gellak pattern

with tweezers from the paper. Tear the design gently into small pieces as needed.

Put them aside as they will be applied later on the nails as stickers.

2. Apply 2 layers of Gellak n°71 Bianchissimo and cure completely. Buff gently with

Soft Finisher to become a smooth surface. Apply Gellak Shine & Protect on your

nails and put your self-made sticker in it before curing. Cure the nails. Apply a

second layer of Shine & Protect. At this stage you can add small studs before

curing. Cure the nails.

Apply ProNails Nail Polish n° 352 Dirty

Denim on all nails. Let the nail polish

dry completely. Put some ProNails Foil

Transfer Glue into a little jar. Take your

Graffiti Brush Medium and strike some

Foil Transfer Glue over the nails. Allow

only the outer tips of the brush hairs to

touch the nail plate. For an original ef-

fect draw one big brush stroke divided

over several nails. Let the Foil Transfer

Glue become transparent. Before you

add the white nail foil wrinkle it in your

hand to have a more realistic painted

effect. Strike the nail foil over the nail

in order for the foil to transfer. Protect

your design with your favourite gloss.

TIP: This nail art can also be done with

ProNails Gellak or Permanent Nail Co-

lours. In this case cure the colour gel

first before adding the foil glue and foil.

This season however, it’s the rich structure of rocks and stones that cought the eye of the designers. In Fashion as well as in the world of interior design, the irregular, almost abstract patterns of marble stones are being used as allover prints for fabrics, walls, and all sorts of materials. Inspired by this trend, our ProNails stylists created some stunning new and innova-ting nail art!

4. Take some Foil Transfer Glue on the Graffiti Brush XL and apply softly and verti-

cally over the nail on the areas where you want to apply the foil. Allow the glue

to dry until it is completely transparent. First crush the black foil between your

fingers, then transfer it onto the nail.

5. Apply small accents of ProNails Nail Polish n°347 Gold & Pepper using a Slim Nail

Art Brush n°1. If you want, you can add some small extra accents in Propaint Night

and Propaint Divine. Seal your design with Gloss it Up (avoid using Seco

Seco as the design might blur).

1. Take the Mother of Pearl Patches Poseidon and Aphrodite and cut out some small

irregular stripes. Make them softer by crushing the structure with your fingers.

Take off the white base paper and glue them on top of your base gel as shown.

2. Fill up the rest of the nail with Unicum UV Gel Bianco Amore

and cure for 30 seconds under THE LIGHT, or for 2 minutes

under the UV lamp.

3. Cover the full nail with Gelixir Secret base & build and cure

again, this time for 1 minute under THE LIGHT, or for 4 minutes

under the UV Lamp.

4. Shape the nail surface with the ProNails Clinifile Green 100/180 – and finish with

your Soft Finisher. Take your Kolinsky Art Brush n° 0 to smudge the edges of the

mother of pearl parts using Propaint Blue Layette, Propaint Neptunus & Propaint

Camel.

5. Continue with your Kolinsky Art Brush n° 0 and add some fine lines with Propaint

Sienna.

6. Finish your design by adding some more fine lines with Propaint Night as shown.

7. Finally, add your favourite Gel Gloss.

Why are cuticles so important?

Take a good look at your fingernails. Now take a closer look - not at your nails, but

at your cuticles. At the base of your nails you should see a white crescent called

the lunula (little moon in Latin). The lunula outlines the nail matrix which is the

tissue that grows new keratin cells that build the nails. As you know, your nails are

constantly growing by about 1 mm per week.

You may be wondering what cuticles do, or why you need them. It is the piece of

skin that provides a protective cover for the lunula, it protects the new, soft keratin

as it emerges onto the nail. If one damages the lunula, the nail will permanently

be deformed..

Taking care of your cuticles is important because it can lead to stronger, healthier

nails. Also, if you neglect them, your cuticles can cause some problems, including

painful infections. It is easy to prevent these infections, all it takes is some basic

nail care.

The 3T’s to perfect cuticles:

Tender - Trim - Treat

There are three simple steps you can take to maintain beautiful and

healthy cuticles.

Step 1: Tender cuticle skin. The first thing to do

is to clean and soften the cuticle. Tender cuticles

can be pushed back safely with a professional

Cuticle pusher.

Step 2: Trim the cuticles with a professional

cobalt double-spring cuticle nipper. Careful

though: trim with precision using a razor sharp

cuticle nipper. Make sure not to remove too

much and never pull.

Step 3: In for a treat? It’s best to try and keep

the cuticles and the nails strong. Rub them in

frequently with a nourishing treatment oil - they

need moisturizing just like your skin does .
