CELEBRATING 20 YEARS OF PROPHETIC VISION MAGAZINE

Only two geographical areas are iden-tified in prophecy relating to the lastdays before Christ’s return: the MiddleEast, including Israel; and Europe,including Russia. God has given me arevelation concerning Russia, Europeand Israel so clear, that it’s like lookingdown on a map of the devil’s strategy,but I also see God’s strategy, what Hewants to do. This puts an awesomeresponsibility on us to act.

I was a boy during World War II. Aged 7-13 years I watched the bombs fallingover London from my bedroom window– this is where I learned to pray. And Iprayed for revival. From my youth up, Ihave a vision burning in my soul – avision of Europe won for Christ:‘Eurovision’. This vision is God’s vision,God’s desire – to see His power, His gloryin Europe, and I will not rest until Godfulfils this vision that He has put withinmy heart.

God had a vision when He created theworld, and the Bible says that whenGod spoke, the vision came to life! Aworld with no sin, suffering, hunger, dis-ease, pain or death. God in Heavenhad a glorious vision of a beautiful, per-fect world, where man lived in harmonywith man and in communion with God.When God began to create the earth, itwas to fulfil this vision He already had.When He looked at the nations ofEurope – the Middle East – Russia –Africa – Asia – America – He saw a glo-rious creation, filled with His glory andpower!

Then the devil came and ruined God’sdream. He brought disobedience, fear,sin and death – all the things that dis-tress and disturb our world came fromSatan when he sowed that first seed ofdoubt, ‘Did God say?’

But God had another vision, ready, inanticipation of Satan’s action! This wasthat He would send His Son into theworld, that Jesus, by His power andauthority, by His death and resurrection,would break the power of Satan, setmen free – a vision of men and womensaved from sin, delivered from sickness,filled with the Holy Ghost – waiting forthe final redemption, when God willrestore the earth to its first glory! For thisreason the Bible, speaking of Jesus,refers to Him as ‘the Lamb slain from thefoundation of the world’. So before sin

came, the way of redemption was pre-pared!

If you could catch the glory and thepower of this vision that God has withinHis heart today, it would change yourlife, your church, your nation – as it haschanged mine.

For thirty years under communism Ipreached in Eastern Europe. It was sohard with all the barriers, all the prob-lems of the Iron Curtain, and with thechurches being underground (illegal –hidden), because of persecution.Despite my one year in a communistprison for preaching and for Bible smug-gling (1972-3), by the 1980s I was openlyevangelising in Eastern Europe – mostpowerfully in Hungary. Then in 1986 Godgave me a vision that the borderswould open, that the Iron Curtain wouldbe melted by the power of the HolySpirit, and He challenged me to hold aprophetic conference in WestGermany, and to believe for hundredsto come from the East, across the bor-ders! In 1988 and again in 1989, thou-sands of Westerners attended, andeach time six hundred delegates camefrom the East, by a miracle, through theIron Curtain! I stood almost alone atthat time – little money, few workers – Ionly had the Holy Spirit. But my visionwas of God and His glory, and in 1989,just days after the end of the secondEast-West Conference, the vision andthe prophecy were fulfilled and the IronCurtain came down!

When God gave me this vision that Hewould break the Iron Curtain, Heshowed me that the power of the HolySpirit would then sweep across thewhole of Europe from East to West. So Ifollowed the East Europeans and theRussians back into their own countries,and since 1989 so much of prophecyhas been fulfilled! In 1992 we sawrevival fire fall in Odessa, Ukraine – amove of the Holy Spirit that is still sweep-ing the whole of the former Soviet Uniontoday. Also in 1992, I was the first evan-gelist ever to take the prestigiousDynamo Stadium in Kiev for the preach-ing of the Gospel! One young man,who now pastors the largest church inSouth Ukraine, said, “Miracles becamevery strong in Ukraine after David’s cru-sade in Kiev in 1992. Until then it hadbeen hard, but from that point it was abreakthrough and miracles became

very simple.” Two students, who weremy interpreters then, became pastors ofthe largest churches in Kiev – in allEurope – their congregations all newconverts!

Then God showed me that I must go tothe far side of Russia, to the Far East ofSiberia, and that the revival that wouldcome into Europe would come fromthere. One young man who evange-lised with me in Siberia in 1994, now pas-tors the largest Messianic congregationin Europe – in Kiev. And many of thechurches in Ukraine who worked withme in those early days of the freedomin the 1990s are now evangelising inEurope – especially amongst theRussian émigrés in Israel, in Germany,Spain and Portugal. Europe has religion,but is the least evangelised continent inthe world. In Israel and Europe mystrongest support is from those convert-ed in Ukraine, Russia and Siberia in theearly days! God wants to set Europe onfire by His Holy Spirit.

In the former Soviet Union we saw hun-dreds of thousands accept Christ, andthousands upon thousands of miraclesof healing! From 2002 we developedthe most amazing system of evangelism– broadcasting the whole crusade serv-ices live on the local TV channels, notjust to the city, but to the whole region –prime time! So that not just 6,000 but thewhole region could participate – up tofive million people – we broadcast themusic, Gospel message, call to repen-tance, prayer for the sick – and Godanswered by fire! Miracles happenedlive on air – people watching at homewere saved, healed, and came nextday into the crusade meetings to reportthe miracles! But we did not stop there.By the following Easter we had boughtour own satellite equipment to enableus to link regions right across Russia,broadcasting on their ordinary TV. Wereached over 10 million on terrestrial TVthat first Easter!

Then in 2005 the freephone system wasintroduced into Russia and Ukraine. Sonow we had the idea – and in January2006 at the Russian Orthodox Christmas,when there are no restrictions on reli-gious programming, we set up all-Russiabroadcasts with freephone lines run bythe churches, making personal contactwith the millions watching! It was so suc-cessful, that we ran all-Russia and all-

Ukraine crusade broadcasts eight timesin all – reaching up to 80% of the popu-lation, until the Gospel was preachedand I was known from the smallest vil-lage right up to the Kremlin, from oneside of the former Soviet Union to theother! The programmes were so popularthey were pirated and reshown many,many times over – we know, becausethe freephone calls continued to comein!

By 2008 God had shown me that thetime for me to move out of Russia intoEurope had come. Together with myteam of Russian organisers, we pio-neered the largest evangelistic meet-ings ever held in this generation inEurope – first in Tallinn, Estonia (2008),then in Vilnius, Lithuania (2009 & 2010),Krakow and Katowice in Poland (2012 &2014) – with national broadcasts on thesecular TV! Most remarkable of all is themove of God in Israel together with myRussian organisers and the RussianJewish Holocaust survivors – preachingMessiah to the largest unbelieving audi-ences in Israel since the time of Christ.

The Bible says that faith (or even vision)without works is dead (James 2:26). Wehave begun – and God has called usnot only to begin, but to finish the work– the vision came from God, and He willdo it. All we have to do is obey Him! Yes,I have a vision; this is why the Holy Spiritburns in my soul. But the day of visions isalmost at an end. This is the day ofaction.

God is challenging Europe. God is put-ting a new power in the Church. InNumbers 27, Moses says this to God,‘Let God choose a man, let God set aman over the whole people!’ The Lordanswered Moses and said, ‘Take Joshuathe son of Nun, a man on whom MySpirit rests.’ – Joshua was already a manfull of the Spirit!

I have a message for you: God hasalready chosen men; God has alreadyput His power within them! There is nowaiting. God says, ‘There are men now,men and women, and I have ALREADY

put My power in them!’ We pray forrevival, we wait for revival and say, ‘If Ihad the power I would preach, if I hadthe anointing I would heal the sick, Iwould raise the dead.’ But God says,‘The men I have chosen have thepower already, at this moment, withinthem!’ Today! Now! The Holy Ghost ishere! So often we are waiting for theHoly Spirit, for God’s power to move.But I ask this question: is there anypower greater than that which raisedJesus from the dead, that fell on theday of Pentecost, and that has fallenon you? There is no power other thanthe Holy Spirit! If only we would get thevision of the power that has alreadybeen given to us who have receivedthe Holy Spirit! Take the anointing byfaith and go out and do it now!

Don’t talk to me only about a vision forthe future. The vision is for now, today! Ihave the power – Pentecost fell on me –I have the glory of God – and so doyou! The glory of God is here – just openyour eyes and see! Get the vision. Mixyour vision with faith. Act! Nothing isimpossible!

Read Ezekiel 12:22 where God rebukesthe church, “What is this proverb youhave: ‘The days go by and every visioncomes to nothing’?” God says, “I willput an end to this proverb, and they willno longer quote it… The days are nearwhen every vision will be fulfilled!” Godis saying, “In your church, in your nation,you say the prophet is prophesyingabout something you say cannot hap-pen for a long time, that Europe is notyet ready, it’s impossible.” But God saysin verse 28, “None of My words shall bedelayed any longer, the word I havepromised will be fulfilled.”

We have seen God begin to move inUkraine, in Russia, in East Europe, evenin Israel. But God says, “Speak to thewhole of Europe, none of My promiseswill delay any more. Everything I havepromised – everything I have written,everything in the Book – all that youhave believed for – is going to happen!The Word which I have spoken shall be

done. The day of visions is ended, nowis the day of action!”

I speak on the authority of the Word ofGod to the whole of Europe. We mustdeclare the power of God – becauseGod has spoken! Today Europe is inspiritual bondage, worse than at anytime in its history. But God wants todemonstrate His power in Europe. Forover fifty years I have a vision of revivalthat burns in my soul; God WILL workgreater miracles than Europe has everseen!

Europe is in sin – but if only you couldfully understand the love that God hasfor the sinner! Why? First, He wants tosave them from the fire of hell; second,because He needs them to fulfil His pur-pose in bringing the glory of Christ intothe world! Look how much of God’stime and energy is directed towardssaving the sinner! In God’s plan the lostsheep takes priority over the safe ones –every time! In my crusades I do not seethe people as others might – I see allthe energy and power of God concen-trated at that moment on reachingthese people’s hearts, not merely theirheads – I see individuals whom Goddesperately wants in His Kingdom –because I know what God wants to doin their lives.

All of us once were sinners whom Godloved, chose, fashioned and created.As an evangelist I know that when Godlooks at sinners, He doesn’t just seealcoholics, drug addicts, the hopelessbroken lives. What He sees is the poten-tial, what you can be when He touchesyou! God is always seeing the future.When you were still a sinner, God sawsomething in you He wanted.Sometimes it takes a long time – withMoses it took 80 years to form the realman that God could use to do the job! Ifonly you knew what God sees in you, ifyou could see yourself as He sees you,not as you see yourself! What a differ-ence it could make in your life if youwould recognise your potential withGod!

Last year I was speaking at a very largechurch with over 10,000 present. Theyinvite many famous preachers from allover the world. “But,” the pastor said,“we have the best preachers in ourchurch and my people love to hearthem. The trouble is, they listen – andthey don’t change! My concern is, theyHEAR the Word, BUT IT DOES NOTCHANGE THEM!”

We all get some very difficult experi-ences. But what creates and definesyour character, and with it your wholeChristian life, is your REACTION, not justto what is said, but what happens toyou!

I’m a twin. There are twins in the Bible –God only ever chooses one. In my casewe grew up together, we found Christtogether, we were baptised together,and went to Bible College together. Iask God many times why He chose meinstead of my brother to fulfil thisprophetic and powerful evangelisticministry. Only God knows why, althoughwhat I have done, and am increasinglystill powerfully doing, is to me like adream come true! I love what I do –what I receive from God and what I amenabled to do far exceeds my wildestchildhood dreams!

God is looking right down on all of ustoday, at this moment, while you arereading this. God is here in the personof the Holy Spirit, His presence is notdependent on atmosphere, God issearching our hearts, testing, trying us,seeking to know who and what wereally are – and could become with Hispower! Today, at this moment – maybeGod is looking for the baby in the river,who will become Moses? The illegiti-mate shepherd boy who will becomethe Goliath-slaying David? The prophetSamuel, an only son alone in the dark-ness? Elijah?!! God is certainly con-cerned about our reaction to circum-stance. Maybe the only differencebetween you and me and someoneelse, is in the REACTION…

HOW do we as Christians react? Inextreme circumstances, do we reactwith courage, determination, faith andboldness – or with weakness, doubt,despair, despondency and lack offaith? I sometimes feel that our‘Christian message’ encourages com-placency, mediocrity, meekness andsubmission! What a misleading prayer

they taught me as a child, ‘GentleJesus meek and mild, look upon a littlechild...’ In the right challenge, Jesuswas neither gentle, meek nor mild! Hedebated with the philosophers age 12,age 33 whipped the money changersand thieves out of the Temple, spokeagainst hypocrisy with the Scribes andPharisees, defended sinners againstphysical attack, rebuked the devil inperson, was beaten, tortured, thrownoff a cliff…! He feared no man, Romanor Jew, and became followed by thou-sands as a man amongst men! Myhero!

What did God see in me – the last bornand weaker twin, or in Jacob thedeceiver, or even David the outcastson? Did God see in advance how wewould react to circumstance?

How did I react when in 1961 I wantedto be in Jerusalem on the day ofPentecost for another Baptism of Fire? Iwas married, had no money to pay forthe air tickets… But I was so deter-mined, that I planned to travel over-land across Europe from Dover, 6500miles across uncharted territory,through the Iron Curtain, Turkey, Syria,Jordan, becoming the first person totravel from London to Israel by road! Itchanged the whole direction of my lifeand ministry!

How would I react in 1964 when, after 3months of prayer, God did not heal mythroat cancer? Did God already knowthat I would pray in desperation, “If Youwant me to stay in England, don’t healme – but if You want me to leave thesecurity of my home, church and min-istry and go to Russia and Israel – I needan immediate miracle to heal me”?And that I would do exactly that for thenext 50 years? Did God actually allowthat throat cancer to provoke me intoa ministry that would become thelargest evangelistic ministry in Europeand see tens of thousands of miracles,not just healings, but storms stopped,financial miracles and all the miraclesthat made Siberia, Hungary, Bulgaria,Russia, the Ukraine, the rest of Europe,and now even Israel, possible?

When in 1972, I was put in the commu-nist prison, what was I going to do? Fourmonths of interrogation. Then the trialbefore the court. Thank God I wasfound guilty! How many of us Christians,if we were on trial for our faith, would

be convicted in a court of law?!! WhenJesus was put on trial, He was convict-ed, found guilty. I couldn’t be convict-ed for bringing in Bibles, because hav-ing a Bible was not against their law –even if they called it a filthy book – yetit was because of the Bibles that I wasbefore the court. When I analysed myown trial, the only thing on which theycould finally convict me was the samething they convicted Jesus for – seditionagainst the State. They said the Bibleattacks the State! But what was myREACTION?

While in prison. I received letters fromChristians saying, “David, we’ve heardthe good news. You’ll only be in prisonfor 10 years, then they will release you!”I REACTED angrily! Do they think thisprison is a luxury hotel like an Englishprison? Choice of menu, TV, sports facil-ities? The reason the Russian Holocaustsurvivors accept me is because theyknow I was in one of their communistprisons. Six million Jews died in theHolocaust. But Stalin killed up to 60 mil-lion of his own people! That’s 1 in every222, murdered by the regime! So theyunderstand what I went through.

But what was my reaction? It was – IWANT TO GET OUT but HOW?!! I was ina foreign country, I didn’t speak thelanguage. My prison was surroundedby armed guards, electric fences,barbed wire, dogs – but the wholecountry I was in was also surrounded bybarbed wire, fences and guards! If I gotout of the prison, I wouldn’t get out ofthe country – it was a double prison! Somy REACTION was to pray for a mira-cle! I said, “Lord, Paul and Silas were inprison, they prayed, You sent an earth-quake and set them free! What You didfor them, You can do for me! Yourpower is not less today than in the daysof the Bible, please get me out!”

What happened to Peter who was alsoin prison? The Christians prayed for hisrelease, but what was their reaction –even when Peter was knocking on thedoor of the house where they werepraying?!! They actually said, ‘It can’tbe Peter – he’s in prison!’ – But weren’tthey praying for God to get him out bya miracle?!! Yes, but they didn’t expectthe answer. Their reaction was com-plete doubt – the one at the door can-not be Peter – we know he’s in prison, itmust be his angel!!!

So I was DETERMINED to pray my wayout of my prison, both to PROVE thatGod answers prayer and that Godworks miracles TODAY as big as He didin the days of the Bible! God knew howI would react, and He had already pre-pared the answer. The fact that I wasnot just released early after one year,but that the British Prime Minister camepersonally to rescue me and flew backto London with me on the plane in ablaze of publicity shown on TV and in allthe newspapers, was a public declara-tion of a ‘Biblical Miracle’ in the 20th

century!!!

But when God allowed me to be arrest-ed – He knew in advance what my

reaction would be!

Often my reaction is somewhatextreme, because people are tellingme that God is not big enough or pow-erful enough to do what we ask. All Iknow is that the Bible says God doesthe impossible things if we dare to askHim – after all there are many gods inthis world – but the God I worship is themiracle Creator of Heaven and Earth,and the only real evidence of who He is– is seen by His miraculous actions!!

If you believe God, you believe HisWord – it’s the same thing! God and HisWord are the same! The decisions Ihave taken in my life have been

formed by the Word of God. If youbelieve God, nothing is impossible – Iexpect miracles – the Bible teachesyou to expect a miracle. – What is yourreaction? Anybody can pray, but onlythe real believer knows how to getanswers from God. And the answer,when it comes, does not come in theordinary way – but by fire! We must liveby prayer and the Word of God! Whatelse do you have? The Bible says thatman does not live by the ordinarythings, but by every Word that comesfrom the mouth of God. I believe Him.Let your reaction be – never give up,translate your faith and prayer intoaction!!! He will not fail you.

Mohammed; a man who was rescued alivefrom the cross and did not die for our sins; whowent on to marry and live a normal life; whowill nonetheless return in the last days to leadChristians worldwide into submission to Allahand to his prophet Mohammed. Such a man –should he appear – must be THE Antichrist!

God is not divided and does not hold two dif-ferent opinions or have two separate plans. Hisplan for the salvation of mankind from thecurse of sin and death is through the ‘Seed ofAdam’ – whom we know as Jesus Christ, the‘Son of Man’ – as revealed in Genesis 3:15;Scripture reveals that this blessing comesthrough Abraham, a Jew, and his ‘promisedchild’ – whom Scripture declares to be Isaac,NOT Ishmael (Genesis 12:3b; Genesis:17:17-21);Scripture declares that the God of our salvationis the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob –through whom comes Jesus, the lamb slainfrom before the foundation of the world(Revelation 13:8); He – Jesus – is the fulfilment ofGod’s eternal unchanging plan.

Moslems are always boasting about their‘god’. But today many Christians believe thatAllah and the God of the Bible are one and thesame. But our God is the God of Israel and theJews, the Creator of Heaven and earth, a Godof power, authority and miracles, who sent HisSon to die for us. Our symbol is therefore theCross on which Christ died! The Moslem ‘God’ isrepresented everywhere by the crescent horns(moon) of Baal the bull and the Egyptian MoonGod. Allah is NOT the God of Israel, he is NOTthe God of the Bible and NOT my God. MyGod is a God of love, forgiveness, healing,power – and He gives men new life! He savesthe sinner! Why aren’t we boasting about whatour God can do?!! Come on!! The Church is sosilent! If we confuse our God with the ‘god’ ofIslam, oh God, help us!!!

The Koran is a corruption of Jewish Scriptureand of the New Testament. For the Moslem,inheritance, relationship with God, is throughIshmael and Mohammed their prophet. Theirversion of Jesus is of a lesser prophet than

Jeremiah 33:25-26. So every morningwhen the sun gets up, it reminds me ofthe covenant! Every time the sun sets,God’s reminding me of the covenant. Ithink in my ministry I have seen more mir-acles of healing than any other man liv-ing today. Hundreds, thousands.Cancers, blindness, broken limbs – in theName of Jesus – healed! I have aCOVENANT with God!

The reason why I may appear different –why some people find it hard to acceptwhat I do – is simply in the way God hasrevealed it to me – not as a covenantfrom the past – not based on the faith ofmy father – nor the faith of other greatmen of God – but a covenant peculiarand personal to me. Something strongerthan a call or a commission, strongerthan a vision – a covenant which IKNOW God has made with me! Andremember what a covenant is: anagreement between two parties, or twopeople. God’s dealings with us are notone-sided – but a covenant it is onlybinding and legal if it has the agreementof both parties! Let me ask you, what isyour agreement with God?

God says: ‘I did not just makethis covenant with yourfathers.’ My father was a godlyman, a great preacher, a stu-dent of prophecy, one of thefirst to receive the Holy Spirit,converted in the WelshRevival. But God did not makeMY covenant with my father!I’m not here because of my

father. I’m here because of God. MYcovenant is with God, God’s covenant iswith ME! I KNOW the covenant, I KNOWwhat God has promised.

I KNOW the truth and power of God’sWord. God says, I will not break Mycovenant with David Hathaway – Psalm89:3, 34-35. IT BURNS INSIDE ME WITH LET-TERS OF FIRE: ‘God is not a man, He can-not lie!’ – Numbers 23:19. I can take allthe power of His written covenant intomy life, everything in the Book! When Ihad lung cancer, I refused treatment; Iwent to the Word of God! God promisedme HEALTH and HEALING – Jeremiah33:6. He said to me, ‘If I can break Mycovenant with day and night, then I canbreak My covenant with David!’ –

A covenant is an agreement betweentwo parties, or two people. God’s deal-ings with us are not one-sided. Acovenant is only legal if it has the agree-ment of BOTH parties. Let me ask you,what is your agreement with God?

In Deuteronomy 5:2-3 Moses is speaking:‘The Lord our God made a covenant withus at Horeb. – The Lord did not make thiscovenant with your fathers, but with all ofus, all of you who are here and alivetoday!’ The danger is that the Church livesin the past – in all the ceremony, ritualand tradition – of what our fathers did, ofwhat we always do… Until so often, tradi-tion becomes more important thanBiblical authority! Christian! God has givenus a personal covenant!

If the LORD be God, follow Him, but if Baal, then follow him! But the people answeredElijah not a word. – 1 Kings 18:21.

I spent one week in March in Ukraine and was bothshocked and encouraged by what I found.Shocked by the level of suffering and the bitternessof the opposing groups, brother against brother,Russian against Ukrainian, Ukrainian against Russian.Death and destruction, poverty and hunger. In oneof my meetings in a town outside Kiev, people hadtravelled 15 hours to come from inside the war zoneof Donetsk. One new church in Kiev – every mem-ber, a refugee from the war zone, including the pas-tor. But on the other side, I was encouraged, it’s likegoing back 20 years, with people more open toreceive Christ than when freedom first came afterthe collapse of communism! Salvation! Outstandinghealings!

God is moving, we have to respond NOW! No one,not even politicians, can predict the future inEurope. I must return to evangelising Ukraine imme-diately, while a door remains open; as I write this inMarch, the fighting could recommence any time!We have to understand that Russia, the world, ismoving fast in new directions – which is leading tothe rapid fulfilment of many Bible prophecies con-cerning the last days.

All I know is that God is calling me to respond to theemerging situations – and not only Ukraine andRussia, but Slovakia and even Denmark andSwitzerland are opening to the Gospel in a newway!

Much of the revelation of the book of Daniel forms the basis of my film ‘TheRape of Europe’. Daniel is talking about the last days, about the Beast, the evilthings that must happen. But what he says in Chapter 11:32, I want to repeat toyou as a CHALLENGE. When he had finished talking about all the evil thingsthat are coming on the world, Daniel says, ‘BUT those who KNOW their God,the people who KNOW their God – will be STRONG, they will do EXPLOITS!’

‘EXPLOITS’! Do we as Christians really understand what this means? Germanand Russian and Danish translations don’t put it strongly enough! It’s watereddown! Daniel, the exiled Jewish refugee in Babylon, is the prophet best knownfor his end-time prophecies, from the translation of Nebuchadnezzar’s Imageto the prophetic visions of the works of the devil, and all the demonic thingsthat are going to happen before the end of the age and the return of Christ.While many would debate the complexities of the visions and their time-scale,here, by the Holy Spirit, the man who is talking so much about all this evil, issuesa direct challenge to the Church! He says, ‘BUT – in these evil days that arecoming – the people who KNOW their God won’t be weak! They won’t bedefeated! They’ll be on FIRE! And they are going to do EXPLOITS!’ Miracles? Idon’t know what your Bible translation says, but I KNOW what God is saying!EXPLOITS are things other people can’t or don’t do! If you’re going to do anEXPLOIT, it’s something that your friends don’t do, something that even theChurch doesn’t do, something that other pastors, other evangelists don’t do.It’s going to be something bigger, more powerful!

One of the biggest battles that I have, is to convince people of who our Godis! If you KNOW Him and His enormous power, you will do miraculous EXPLOITS!If you are not able to do these things, is it because you don’t really know thepower of God? If the Church and the Christians are powerless – why is it?!!Why?!! It’s because they don’t experimentally know what miracles my God

has already done! I’m faced with this all the time: people, whohave not experienced or realised that God’s power is unlimit-

ed, question His ability! Even my own advisors from time totime tell me, “You can’t do these things! You don’t havethe money! Be reasonable! Why can’t you be like ordinarymen?!!” I have to explain, to share all the miraculousthings that God has made to happen in my own life...

...I’ve been healed of cancer twice – in both cases byan absolute miracle. I only left my church and becamea full-time evangelist after God healed my throat can-

cer. Why? Becausewhen I had the can-cer, I said, “I believe ina God of miracles.” I

told the doctors I didn’tneed their help... But after

three months the cancer hadgrown so big, they only gave me three

days, then they must operate. And in thosethree days the miracle happened!!! How? – I

said, “Oh God, if You want me to be like othermen, don’t heal me! I’ll go to the doctors and I’lltell them You couldn’t do it! But, if You don’t wantme to be like other men, if You want me to doEXPLOITS, I need You to work a miracle in me!”When you experience a miracle, it’s DYNAMIC! Themiracle was SO BIG, that when I went back on thethird day – no, the cancer had not ‘disappeared’ –my God had cut it out with a knife and left a scar!!!The mark showed the operation He had made!!!

When the doctors said, “Who did it?!!Which hospital?!! Which doctor?” – Isaid, “His Name is Jesus!” I KNEW Him!

You can’t do EXPLOITS unless youKNOW the power your God has! Ihave such battles with Christians overthe question of belief! I have experi-enced God doing things that wereimpossible in my own life – so manytimes – that to me He has become theGod of the impossible! From experi-ence I can say, “With God ALL thingsare possible, everything He does is amiracle!” What kind of a ‘God’ do youhave? The only limitation God has isour belief in His power – He can doANYTHING we ask and believe He cando!! Mark 11:23-4. My God’s power istotally UNLIMITED – because I KNOWwho He really is!

Only when you KNOW the power andglory of our God – only then will younot be like ‘other men’. Only thosewho REALLY KNOW WHO HE IS can doEXPLOITS. We need the Spirit that wasin Elijah, in Moses, in David – in Jesus –and is in me – the Holy Spirit! Peopledon’t understand me when I EXPECTGod to do the IMPOSSIBLE! The chal-lenge in my life, the reason why I’m sohealthy at my age, why I can’t die,can’t quit, can’t give up, is becausesomebody has to show the worldWHO THIS JESUS IS!!! Somebody has to!And until you get up and do it betterthan me, I shall go on doing it!!! I willnot die, I will not grow weak, and theFIRE will not go out!!!

We need AUTHORITY, but if you don’tKNOW God, you don’t have Hisauthority. IF you know Him, TAKE Hisauthority! I have it! I have such author-ity that, in the darkest communistyears, I had permits to travel through-out all the communist countries inEurope! That’s God, it’s an amazingstory! But ok, in 1972 at the height ofthe Cold War, I was arrested forpreaching the Gospel and smugglingBibles... but God released me by apowerful miracle... only because IKNEW how far I could trust Him! Youcan only be strong and do theseexploits if you KNOW who God is!

In Romans 12:1 Paul writes to YOU: ‘I’m PLEADING with you’ – he’s using

expressive language – ‘I’m pleadingon my knees, I’m fighting a battle withyou, I want you, I need you to presentyour bodies as a LIVING SACRIFICE!’Christians, that’s tremendous! –Jihadists blow themselves up, believ-ing that they serve God by sacrificingtheir lives! I want to tell every Moslem,every jihadist, if you blow yourself up,you burn in hell! Hell is the most terriblething you can imagine. But God issaying to us through the Apostle Paul,‘I beseech you, I plead with you –present your bodies as a LIVING sacri-fice!’

People ask me why I am an evangelistwhen I say God never called me asan evangelist! When I was a boy of fif-teen, I was with a group of youngpeople on holiday, walking alongBrighton beach. But God and thedevil are NEVER on holiday – I washaving the battle of my life! I hadbeen preaching since I was thirteen, Ihad received the Baptism of Firewhen I was still only thirteen, and thedevil was saying, ‘That’s enough!Don’t do any more, be normal likeordinary people!’ – That’s what every-body tells me even today! But Godwas saying, ‘David, I want YOU! I wantEVERYTHING! Your feet, your hands,your heart, your mouth, your mind,your money, your family, your time –EVERYTHING!’ And I could get nopeace until that night I said, “Lord, Igive You EVERYTHING!” That is the ful-filment of Romans 12:1. It’s the mes-sage for YOU! – Paul says to YOU, ‘IPLEAD with you, give God EVERY-THING!’

And now, I will shock you! Paul goeson to say, ‘The reason I’m talking toyou like this is because that is just yourNORMAL, REASONABLE Christian life!This isn’t exploits, it’s just what isDEMANDED of every Christian manand woman. What is ‘reasonable serv-ice’? ‘Reasonable service’ is what themechanic does to your car when itbreaks down and you pay him to putit right, and only when it’s right is it‘reasonable service’! Or you havesomebody to clean, or paint, or buildyour house – but if what they do isonly what they are paid for, they’renot giving you anything. You pay for it,so it’s ‘reasonable service’.

Christian!! Jesus, the Son of God, gaveHis whole life for you on the cross –and your reasonable service is to giveHim your life! Malachi 3:8-10 says youhave robbed God! – How have Irobbed God? – In your tithes and yourofferings! But I want to challenge youmore! You have robbed God becauseyou haven’t given Him your life! No,I’m not talking about your salvation –that’s just the beginning. That was‘birth’. Before I got up to preach thismessage in Switzerland, we dedicat-ed the Pastor’s baby daughter to theLord. But when I go back next time tothis church, this baby will have grown,she will be at school, at university, awoman! Christian, how far have yougot in your salvation?!! One of thegreatest tragedies I have witnessed iswith one of my top workers. One ofthe best preachers in Russia, a youthpastor in one of the largest churches.His second child was born with ametabolic disorder, so that althoughshe is now 18, she has the mental ageof a 2 year old. She can’t go toschool, she can’t marry, she can hard-ly feed herself, everything has to bedone for her. The mother is worn out,and to the father it’s a great burden.But that man is one of my best organ-isers, God is using him. But too manyChristians are like that handicappedchild – the pastor has to do every-thing. Isn’t it true?!!!

So often the Christian never comes tomaturity! Paul likens it to only devour-ing milk. It’s about time you got on toproper food! I like to hear testimoniesof what God has done for us!! I love tohear you telling what God has done!But let me be difficult! – I don’t want tohear just what GOD has done for you, Iwant to know what YOU have done forGod!!!

I can tell you what God has done forme, but I can also tell what I havedone for God! That’s why I have thelargest evangelistic mission in Europe.That’s why in September last year Icould speak to more than 80,000 peo-ple in one day in Poland, and reachthe whole nation live on National TV.But one man challenged me, “Whydo you do this? Why do you struggleto do so much? Why?” – Because Iowe God everything, my life, my

home, my family. And yes, last year Ihad to let God take my wife. Wecould have prayed for her to bespared. But the Bible says, there is atime to be born and a time to die. If Ihad pleaded for God to save her,what would she have gone through? Iknow she could not bear to see what Iam going to have to endure in thesecoming months and years. I am goingto have to risk my life. Already theyhave tried four times to kill me, andthey will go on trying. I could not letmy wife see what price I will have topay, so she died in peace, surroundedby the family. She is at peace in theKingdom, but I’m at war – with thedevil himself, here on earth.

Prophetic

The hardest message today – inUkraine, in the Middle East, in your life– is forgiveness. Jesus taught us to say,‘Forgive us our sin, as we have forgiv-en those who have sinned against us.’If you want the peace of God, if youwant God to answer you, if you wantGod to work a miracle in your life, youhave to ask – for God’s forgiveness!!!We now have war with Moslems, andthey are cutting off the heads of theChristians. Why? Because their religiontells them that if they kill an unbeliever,they go to Heaven! But the Bible says,‘Thou shalt NOT kill’ – what a chal-lenge to Russia, Ukraine and theMiddle East today! Our God – theGod of the Bible and Israel – says,‘Thou shalt NOT kill.’ To the world,God’s message is forgiveness andhealing and deliverance. If as anation you will forgive, God will healyour land. God WILL heal the land, Hewill take away the past, restore theyears that the locust has eaten. Butyou, YOU – have to repent, you haveto call on God and ask for His forgive-ness. The Bible says, whosoever willcall upon the Name of the Lord shallbe forgiven! God WILL forgive you ifyou ask! Then the blessing of God willcome into your life, He will heal yoursickness, take away your pain, He will

deliver your nation! But it must begin inYOUR heart, peace has to come inYOUR heart, repentance has to comein YOUR heart. It begins with YOU!

God CAN bring peace and forgive-ness in your heart. Trust Him.

But why do even Christians fight eachother? What’s wrong? What was thelast prayer of Jesus? It was not for thesinner or the unbeliever, His last prayerbefore He died was for the believingChristian! This is what He prayed – thatwe would stand together and be one!John 17:20-23. Jesus said, “I pray thatthey will be one!” Why did He praylike that? – Because He saw theChurch today, divided, split. Church,get together, because the Bible saysthat a house divided against itself willfall! If the Church does not get togeth-er in unity, it will not get in theKingdom! The Church has forgotten itsown message! It’s not just ‘love’, it’sforgiveness, not just God forgiving us,but when we forgive others... We haveALL sinned. But the Bible says,‘Whosoever shall call on the Name ofthe Lord shall be forgiven – oh, what agreat Gospel we have! But how willthe world forgive unless Christians firstdemonstrate the truth?!!

The whole world lies in the power ofthe evil one. The tragedy is, that in thisbattle between good and evil – in ournations, in our homes – the ‘other side’is winning! Christians, wake up, we’vegot to stand together and declare the

glory of God! One day in my cell, inthe midst of hunger and torture in thatcommunist prison, the glory of Godcame in, and I began to shout andsing, “Then sings my soul, my SaviourGod to Thee, how great Thou art!” Theglory of God – in that filthy, stinkingprison cell! From that moment Godbegan to answer all my prayers, andby an absolute miracle He got meout! This is what the Bible says, ‘Whenthe enemy comes in like a flood, theSpirit of the Lord will raise up a stan-dard against him!’ – Isaiah 59:19.When the enemy comes in, the HolySpirit of God will rise up in power andauthority! The power and the glory ofGod will be released in the world! I’mexcited! I want to see it! The devil willbe defeated, he’s going to be boundand Jesus will be Lord! I want to bepart of that Kingdom!

We’ve got to begin to take action!There’s a song, ‘Oh when the saints gomarching in, Oh Lord I want to be inthat number!’ But we’ve got to fight forthe Kingdom of God, we’re the armyof God – but we fight with Holy Power,not with swords and guns andweapons of destruction – we fight withthe power of the Gospel! With thepower of miracles! I’m an evangelist,I’ll lead the army, join me! – Myweapons – the fire, the power of theHoly Spirit, the sword of the Word ofGod, the authority of God – from GodHimself! And I will use that power andthat authority to declare the Kingdomof God until Jesus comes!

God sent His Son into the world to die, to forgive your sin – not to punish you, not to fight against you,not to put you in prison, not to kill you. Jesus died – why? To give you forgiveness, to give you life.

The greatest message in the world is forgiveness!

My name is Elena Galushevskaya.I came to know the Lord inNerungri, Siberia, in August 1994when David Hathaway was evan-gelising there. The most importantthing was that I got saved, andmiraculously I quit smoking rightaway and my badly cut leg washealed! Not long before the evan-

gelism, I had stepped on the neck of a broken glass bottlewith my bare foot. I was seriously injured and my tendonswere severed. It was at the time when the Soviet Union hadjust collapsed and our healthcare system was not financedproperly. The only thing the doctors could do for me wasjust to apply a green-coloured antiseptic to the wound!That was all they did! The pain was intense. And the wound

became infected. I could hardly walk. I staggered to themeeting but, after prayer, I was able to jump on my injuredfoot! I also had an ulcer and I was healed of that as well!I’ve been working for Ebenezer to bring Jews back to Israelsince 1997, first in Vladivostok, then I moved to the headoffice in Moscow in 2009 where I still work.

THIS MIRACLE HAS LASTED 20 YEARS!

My father was a godly and THOUGHTFULman. He spent all the years after World WarII until he died last year, pondering the utterwickedness and evil of war and its ongoingeffects down to the following generations –for whom he prayed every day.

He was born in 1917. I asked him how hethought of that year, the year before WorldWar I (1914-18) ended. He said to me: “Ihave always thought of it as being born atthe beginning of the Somme Offensive.Your mother was born in 1918, at the begin-ning of the Passchendale Offensive. Therewere unbelievable casualties. Fifty thou-sand men were killed on the first day of theBattle of the Somme. My father was in thenavy in World War I, so in those war yearsmy mother brought up three children onher own...”

As a teenager in the 1930s, my fatherbecame increasingly aware of evolvingworld events. The years 1931/2 were domi-nated by the Great Recession, and therewas unemployment on a massive scale. Onthe distant edges of the continent therewas Soviet Russia, and in Europe, thegrowth of the Nazi movement in Germany.In 1936, when my father started atUniversity, the Spanish Civil War broke out.Franco (a royalist) was unpopular in Britain,because he sympathised with NaziGermany and Fascist Italy. But people hadno idea of the socialist crimes in Spainwhere Russia was supporting the commu-nist faction against Franco. Fascism and theGreat Slump made my father’s generationall left-wing in sympathies – they were com-pletely taken in by Soviet Russia, they hadno idea of its brutality. Then there were thelies of the Nazi Party, and by the latter 1930sHitler was presenting an ever greaterthreat. There was the militarisation of theRhineland, the annexation of Austria, thenthe invasion of Czechoslovakia, thenPoland – life was completely overshad-owed by the growing threat of war anddread of what was to come, based on the

memories of the horror of the 1914-18 war.War with Germany was inevitable. It wasnot a question of if, but when.

It is painful for anyone to handle even per-sonal betrayals, how much more so civilwar or any war. Truly it is written in Genesis6:5-6, ‘And God saw that the wickedness ofman was great in the earth, and that everyimagination of the thoughts of his heart wasonly evil continually. And it repented theLord that He had made man on the earth,and it grieved Him at His heart.’

I watched a programme on BBC World fol-lowing the lives of several Israeli girls afterthey had finished their term in the army. Iwas riveted by their distraught faces, theirpained voices… Each one of them, in theheat of an unbearable moment, under thestress of war, had let the devil into their inno-cent lives – and now they can’t get himout! – Their lives ruined, stained with bloodand shame. I thought, every parent in Israelbrings up their kids, knowing they mustserve in the army; if we are pro-Israel, weunderstand this. It must be. But every Israelichild is at risk, not just from enemy fire, butfrom the devil himself.

My own conclusion is that the whole worldDOES lie in the hands of the evil one, as theScripture says – and we have a tremendousneed of the Gospel of forgiveness: in ourfamilies, in our work, in our churches, in ourcountries, across nations. The devil hates usALL, but we must cling fast to the cross ofChrist. More than the devil hates us, JesusWANTS us. He is our ONLY hope. There is agreat and terrible darkness before Hereturns. But our light should shine brighter.

We, ordinary Christians, must make everyeffort to live at peace with all men, as far asit lies within our power – Mark 9:50, Romans14:19, Hebrews 12:14. And as David says,‘Those who KNOW God will do exploits(great things)!’ – Daniel 11:32. Let’s preachChrist!

Having just come back from Ukraine with its war zone in the east, my heart and mind arefilled with strong impressions. It’s a painful thing to witness the spiritual confusion and dis-tress when brothers in Christ, from the most senior to the most junior, from the least to the

greatest, suddenly find themselves against each other and at war with each other,because of what…? How did such a thing happen? I try to imagine, in East Ukraine, theirworld has had an earthquake that hasn’t stopped, and they don’t know how to orientate

themselves any more…

‘What I am challenging you to do, isto go to the regions beyond – theregions beyond in your service, theregions beyond in your faith. Theregions beyond in your prayer life.Don’t be satisfied with your prayer life.Don’t be satisfied with what you aredoing. Let’s go higher. How do youget up this ‘mountain’? There is nochair lift and there is no cable car;come with me. The fact is, there is onlyone way to go up that mountain. Ihave a favourite mountain in Austria,the Zugspitze. What I do there in thesummer, I love to go all over the skislopes that I ski in the winter, and I walkthem. I set out to beat the targets on

time and distance. I do one walkwhich is 22km, and you’ve got to do itin 2 hours. It is quite a struggle! How doI do it? I do it by setting the pace andkeeping up that pace of step afterstep – and you know, the end of thejourney begins with the first step! Whatwe have got to do with God is go stepby step; even if you don’t get as farup as your next door neighbour, atleast your feet are off the ground!What is it General Booth used to say toall of his officers? – He said, in yourvision for God aim for the moon – youwon’t hit it, but you might get as far asthe lamp post! If you aim at the lamppost you’ll never get your feet off the

ground! It is true. Aim high! If you aimhigh, at least you’ll say, praise God I’mpart way there. And you’ll find theLord reaches a hand down and givesyou a helping hand to get you up therest! He does that with me any way.Does He do that with you? If He doesn’t, it’s because you are not onthe ladder climbing. If you are not onthat ladder going up, He is not goingto help you. If you are on that laddergoing up, then He is going to reachdown! Praise God! I challenge you, goto the regions beyond – in your serv-ice, in your faith, in your prayer. Climbthat mountain!’

As we sang the words, ‘I bowthe knee to Jesus’ in Bulgarian, to ouramazement everyone knelt, and astillness settled over the multitudes aswe experienced the Presence of theLord.’ – Communism had not yet fall-en in Bulgaria at that time, but Davidremembers this as the moment when
