I was born in London, grew up inCroydon. I was only young when the warstarted. I remember the Battle of Britain,leaning out from my bedroom lookingover Croydon Airport, watching the dog-fights in the air, watching the flyingbombs! The trick was to know, when themotor cut out, the bomb would comedown... One time the motor cut abovethe house. I flew downstairs so fast, Idon’t think my feet touched the steps!

At my age now I feel so conscious thatlife is a journey – and that in our Christianlife we will never reach the end of thatjourney until we enter Heaven! OurKingdom is not in this world, but inHeaven. The Kingdom of God will onlycome on earth when Messiah comes! Soit’s a journey, and at the beginning of2016 I’m reflecting on where we havebeen last year and where we are goingthis year. Someone said, the most impor-tant part of a journey is not the arriving,but the travelling! According to theBible, what happens in your life duringthe journey is what influences the end!

Going to Israel in 1961 through the IronCurtain countries, then Turkey and Syria,was so exciting, it was this journey, morethan arriving in Jerusalem, that was tochange my whole life! I was the first everto make the overland journey fromBritain across Europe to Israel by road. Itaroused so much interest that hundredsthen wanted to go and I had to start atravel company! It was the 1960s, theheight of the Cold War. I was virtually theonly person with licenses from all thecommunist countries to travel freelyeverywhere behind the Iron Curtain!And every time I crossed the border intoEast Europe, I would bring with me 2tonnes of Bibles, New Testaments andGospels, hidden in a secret compart-ment in my tour bus, for the under-ground churches! Today, despite myyear in a communist prison, I am still oneof the very few people with a 12 monthmultiple entry visa to preach the Gospelall over Russia!

I want to share something personalabout this ‘spiritual journey’. Last year Ihad some spiritual experiences I’venever had before. I’m not getting old,I’m getting younger! More enthusiastic,more energetic. Spiritually so many atmy age are on a backward journey.They lose the power, the desire. But themore I journey on, the more exciting thejourney becomes.

Last June I held a conference on evan-gelism with 118 people. It was a time ofmeeting with God. And during those 2days we went into prayer, on our knees

before God. The Holy Spirit came downin power, a fresh visitation! It had such adramatic effect on me, it was the begin-ning of a further change in my life!

Shortly after that, I was with theVietnamese refugees for their SummerCamp in East Germany. Every year 600to 1000 gather together from all overEurope. Some fled communist Vietnamunder persecution as Christians, otherswon scholarships to study in communistEast Europe – and found Christ! They areso on fire, they are believing God willopen Vietnam to the preaching of theGospel. The leader of these Vietnamesehas already bought the equipment tohold large scale evangelism, and hesays I must continue to come to theSummer Camp every year until togetherwe go into Vietnam to evangelise! I’vebeen with them seven years now, it’s ajourney! But last summer was different:their young people, their choir, weresinging from their hearts, “I want to seeJesus!” – that changed my message!From there I went straight to Austria tomy prayer mountain – 10,000 feet up –and I was crying out, “Oh God, I want tosee You! To see Your Face!” I know thatno one has ever seen His Face, He is soHoly. So I was saying, “Lord, if I cannotsee Your Face, I want to see Your Hand!Just as Moses saw only the Finger of Godwriting in stone! Lord, show me YourHand! In other words, let me see You INACTION!”

Last year in Israel was also a break-through, because in May, for the firsttime in history, the Gospel message wasbroadcast LIVE on one of the most pop-ular national TV networks in Israel!!! Icould hardly believe it myself till I sawthe big TV trucks, all the equipment andcables! As I preached Messiah to theseunbelievers, several independent wit-nesses saw the same thing (the tent hadan open backdrop to the walls ofJerusalem): a dove hovering behind meas I spoke! Something happened in thespirit realm! Then again in November, wetook the Maxi Dome in Tel Aviv for 2days: two thousand unbelievers came.And people said, “Something has hap-pened! A step higher spiritually, a heightyou’ve not reached before!” Again itwas broadcast live!

We’re on a journey! It’s like climbing amountain! I remember an experience Ihad as a boy on holiday on the southcoast. I’ve always loved prayer and I’vealways loved hills. After dinner one nightI left the family and went alone to climbthe steep cliff path. Getting towards thetop, I came to a place where there wasa bush and I couldn’t go any further, I

was conscious that the devil himself wasstopping me from reaching higher. Ibattled and battled, I knelt on theground and cried out. But I could notget beyond that point! The secondnight, I tried again. When I got to thatsame spot, to that small bush, I couldn’tget beyond! There was a ‘barrier’!Something held me back. I knew it wasdemonic, I was in fear, and in the endran back down and told my father (agreat man of God, a pioneer of thePentecostal movement in Britain). Heshowed me how to plead the power ofthe Blood of Jesus and break that barrier. The third night I went again.Again I could not get beyond that point.But I would not rest, I would not go homewithout getting to the top – I had to getthat victory. This time I prevailed inprayer and I did it – I reached the top!!!And what an impact it had on my life!That was 70 years ago, but we are on ajourney and we must press on! We’vegot to reach the top! Not stop part way!There are so many things which wouldhold us back and hinder us! But we’vegot to go on, and on! Whatever age Iam, I’m on a journey, climbing. This yearI must go higher still!

Last August I was speaking in a confer-ence in Cornwall. The musicians werelooking for a breakthrough in worshipthat would bring the glory of God as itdid in 2 Chronicles 5:14, when the priestscould not stand because of the glorythat filled the Temple! I want that! I don’tyet have enough of the Holy Spirit in mylife! And the harder the fight to climb themountain, the more we need the HolySpirit! The harder the devil attacks, themore we need God and the Holy Spiritto get that victory! We will NOT bedefeated – the church MUST overcome!But the breakthrough is not found just inworship. The spiritual challenge of mywhole life is to build the ‘Temple’: not theliteral Temple in Jerusalem – but to glori-fy God on earth! The whole purpose ofthat first Temple was to be – the demon-stration of the glory of God here onearth! The whole purpose of Christ’s firstComing was to be – ‘Emmanuel’ – GodWITH us on earth! We need this reality ofthe very Presence of God – in our coun-try, in our church, in our personal lives –today! We must demonstrate who God isto people who don’t understand! It’s notabout issues of women priests, homosex-uality – or any other crisis in the worldtoday – we’re not dealing with politicalor military issues – it’s a spiritual issue! Weneed a revival of miracles in the churchso that the miracles can demonstratewho our God really is! People convert toIslam because Islam is offering some-thing concrete that isn’t being offered

by a dead church. But a live church hasa million times more to offer than anyreligion or any ‘prophet’. Islam has noglory. Our power is with a God who willanswer and work miracles!

When Solomon dedicated the Temple inJerusalem, he brought in the singers andmusicians, until even the priests couldnot enter because of the glory of Godthat filled the House! But by the time weget to 2 Chronicles 7:1, Solomon hasmade an end of praying: not only hasthe glory filled the House, but fire hasfallen from Heaven on the sacrifice!!! I’mlooking beyond the worship, I’m seeingthe glory, the fire, the demonstrativepower of God! What made the differ-ence? Two things. First: Solomon hadbrought into the Temple the Ark of theCovenant – 2 Chronicles 6:11 – the Wordof God was in the Temple!!! We’ve gotto get back to the power and authorityof God’s Word! The Anglican Church isfacing a major split, between those whobelieve God’s Word is true, and thosewho believe you can change what Godsays! We have got to get back to theauthority of the unchangeable Word ofGod! The second thing that brought thefire: Solomon built an altar of sacrifice,climbed on the platform, kneeled downand offered himself on it – 2 Chronicles6:12-13. If we want to transform the gloryinto the fire of God, the point at whichthe fire falls is at the altar of sacrifice! InLeviticus 6 the command of God is, thatwhen the priest lights the fire on thealtar, that fire must never go out! Whatdid the fire consume?! Not just wood.Sacrifice!!! The way you keep the fireburning on the altar is by putting onmore and more sacrifice! If we want tosee the increase of the fire and thepower and the glory of God in our lives,we’ve got to put more sacrifice on thealtar! Then the fire will come!

We need to spend more time in prayerand seeking the Face of God in order tobuild that altar, then when we put our-selves on that altar, the fire of God will

come down! In 2 Chronicles 7:12-14, theLord says to Solomon, “I have heardyour prayer and chosen this place forsacrifice... So that when I shut up theheavens, if My people who are calledby My Name will humble themselvesand pray and seek My Face and turnfrom their wicked ways, then will I hearfrom Heaven and forgive their sin andheal their land...”

On that mountain in Austria last summer,challenged by those Vietnamese, I wassaying, “Oh Lord I want to see YourFace, I want to see Your Glory, I want tosee You!” I’m seeking God in prayer, Iwant to see His Hand, what He does, Hispower! I want to see God moving – sav-ing people, converting the sinner, work-ing MIRACLES! From aged 13 when I firstreceived the baptism of the Holy Spirit, Ihave coveted the gift of faith more thanany other. I saw it being a key in ministry.It’s governed my whole life. But I’venever thought that I could ever say ofthat gift, “Oh I’ve got it!” Faith is only asgood as the use you put it to. Faith isdemonstrated by your life. Faith is not anarriving, but a journey. I’ll never come tothe end of receiving, or learning, the giftof faith.

Someone said, “Faith is believing forsomething you can’t see, but the rewardof faith is to see what you believed for!”When I set off for Jerusalem all thoseyears ago in 1961, it was so fraught withdanger, that my father prayed day andnight, “Oh God, stop David!” He feared Iwouldn’t come back alive. Even theBritish Foreign Office said don’t go! But Iwent because for me it was a step offaith, a progression in my journey. I wasgoing somewhere I had never seen, onroads no one had ever travelled, but Ibelieved I would get there – and thatwhen I got there, that I would receiveanother baptism of the Holy Spirit! Theresult of my faith was to see what Ibelieved for! It changed my whole life.

Every year on my prayer mountain I’ve

been asking God to renew the gift offaith. All these years I’ve had a growingfaith. But on that mountain last summer, Ichanged my praying. I want to leavebehind the base camp and move on upthe mountain of faith!

Last year was a spiritual pinnacle for me,now I’ve got to go higher! The danger is,you can come down from that glory onthe mountain and lose what you havelearned. One time with my wife anddaughters we went up a mountain inSwitzerland. Every time we thought wewere about to reach the top, howeverhigh we climbed, there was alwaysanother, higher peak In front! Then a mistcame down and, to find our way back,we had to follow the telegraph wires!You see, we need to travel with a senseof purpose and direction – with God! Theguide lines are the Word of God – HisWord is a lamp unto our feet and a lightunto our path – it gives us direction andpurpose.

In my life, my purpose is to bring theglory back to God. David’s desire tobuild the Temple was to show God’sGlory on earth. Today our purpose is toshow His Glory to an unbelieving world:in evangelism, in salvation, deliveranceand healing – and in the working of MIRACLES. Jesus was a man approvedof God BY MIRACLES, BY SIGNS, BY WONDERS. I’ve seen every kind of mira-cle in my ministry. But however high Ihave gone, there’s another peak,another height, I have got to get to thenext level, to move on and up, spendtime in prayer – to get closer to God, tosee His Hand... If we want to see theHand of God, we’ve got to cry out andbelieve for the miraculous in our lives –every one of us!

We have to demonstrate who our Godreally is – to an unbelieving world! Ibelieve it will happen when we movefrom the glory to the FIRE, when we putourselves on the altar! Then the FIRE ofGod will fall on us!

God speaks to us from His Word, from theBible. But real communication can beone of the hardest things in the world.Young people today are all on the inter-net. On average they say that men have140 ‘friends’ on the social media, women160... So, on average 150... But when theresearchers asked, ‘When you are in trou-ble, how many of those friends will helpyou?’ – the answer was three, maximumfour! So in reality, those 150 are notfriends! They are out there somewhere,on the internet. They are not face-to-facefriends!

This is an important lesson to us spiritually– God must not become someone dis-tant. In the Old Testament there was a dis-tance between God and man – you hadthe Temple with symbols of a God youcouldn’t see. But the message of the NewTestament is ‘Emmanuel’ – God WITH us!Somebody you can talk to! Think what itwas like for the disciples: Here is Jesus.You have breakfast together, lunchtogether, you go fishing on the laketogether. The disciples were not religious,they were very ordinary people. But therelationship they had with Jesus was verypersonal. They walked together, talkedtogether, did everything together – realcommunication! One of the most impor-tant things we have to do as Christians isto establish communication, build per-sonal relationship, with God!

This morning I was remembering an oldChristian song: ‘I come to the gardenalone, while the dew is still on the roses,and the voice I hear falling on my ear theSon of God discloses! And He walks withme, and He talks with me – and He tellsme I am His own!’ What a wonderful thing!Our experience with the Son of God mustbe a personal relationship!

The amazing thing about Jesus is the timeHe spent in communication with His ownFather! Jesus spent a lot of time on themountains, on the Lake of Galilee, withHis Father. I’m on a spiritual journey. I’vebeen travelling this road since I fell in lovewith Jesus when I was 8 years old. Aged83 I’m still travelling. All the time I’m learn-ing more, and it brings me closer to Jesus.I understand Him more.

Two years ago, coming down the moun-tain in Austria, walking around the lake, Iwas having a talk with Jesus, with theHoly Spirit. Every time when I preach, I sayto the Holy Spirit, “You know Jesus betterthan I do,” – after all, He was born of theHoly Spirit, filled with the Holy Spirit, raisedby the Holy Spirit – “help me show the

people who the REAL Jesus is!” If peopleKNEW Him, they would fall in love withHim, you’d want to spend your whole lifewith Him! He’s my best friend, my con-stant companion! He goes everywherewith me. He protects me, watches overme, understands me, listens to me, wantsto talk with me.

As I was walking round the lake, I wassaying to the Holy Spirit, “Jesus said to Hisdisciples, ‘You see all the miracles I havedone? – When I’ve gone, YOU are goingto be able to do these same things, andmore, because I am going to My Fatherand He will send the Holy Spirit to enableyou to do it.’” Jesus was born as the Sonof God, by a miracle of the Holy Spirit, butborn as the son of a woman, to be the‘human face’ of God! The Bible sayswhen He came, He left behind all HisHeavenly powers to become a man, tolive as a man, subject to the same temp-tations and weaknesses – but without sin.One hundred percent God, but one hun-dred percent man, coming to live as welive. It seemed that the Holy Spirit wasexplaining something to me. Jesus camewithout any supernatural power: all thepower that He had down here was givenHim by the Holy Spirit. He worked the mir-acles by the Holy Spirit in Him! So whenJesus said to His disciples, “You are onlyordinary people – but you will be able todo what I have done – and more...” –how was that going to happen? It has tobe when the Holy Spirit comes into us!

Those 120 in the Upper Room on the Dayof Pentecost were afraid. Yes, they hadmet together for prayer, but they were soafraid of persecution, they hadn’t beenpreaching the Gospel, they hadn’tworked any miracles – they had lockedthe doors and windows! But when theHoly Spirit came with flames of fire and arushing wind, what a transformation!Immediately those disciples were com-pletely changed! Peter, who for fear inthe Judgement Hall, had denied Jesusthree times to a servant girl and lied toher that he did not know Him, was the firstto jump up on the roof top and preachChrist! Three thousand were converted!That was the Holy Spirit, and from thatmoment on their ministry began!

So as I’m walking round the lake talkingto the Holy Spirit, I’m saying, “I’m not see-ing bigger miracles than Jesus!” Yes, Ihave seen the most incredible miracles.One of the first I saw as a young pastor,21 years old, was an old man in mychurch in his 70s. He had terminal cancer,they had removed much of his internal

organs, and sent him home to die. Theygave him 3 weeks. To me he had been aproblem in my church, he was no friend.But the Holy Spirit told me to take a groupand lay our hands on him. I didn’t havemuch faith. But over the next few days Isaw the cancer come away from hisbody... They took him back into hospitalto restore his bodily functions, but he wassuch a difficult man, they threw him outof the hospital without any treatment oroperation. Within a short time the dyingman was back in the church, completelyhealed! But I had seen something in thisman: he was no friend of mine, but visit-ing him in his home, I saw his love forJesus, I heard him pray, I saw him with hisBible – he had a relationship, not with me,but with Jesus! It showed me, NOTHING ISIMPOSSIBLE, miracles can happen!

I was born again when I was only 8, so Igrew up with a childlike faith. To me, Godis a wonderful Father. My own father waswonderful, I loved him, he loved me, wehad a close relationship. He was alwaysthere – my Dad! When I was in difficulty, Iwould talk with him. That’s where I learntall my first spiritual lessons. I would ask himquestions, he would give me all theScriptures. Night after night, after suppermy father and I would have long discus-sions. And every morning, the first soundthat I heard when I woke was my fatherdownstairs – talking with his Father! – Ilearnt where he got his power from!!!

Everything depends on your relationshipwith God. We’ve got to talk with Him.When I was walking round that lake, Iunderstood, the reason Jesus could workthose miracles was because of the HolySpirit. And Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit sowe can do the same things! He said wewould do greater things!!! I’ve not got toTHAT level yet, I’ve a long way to go! I’mon a spiritual journey. I haven’t reachedthe top of the mountain! It’s a fight to goup. But don’t let the devil stop you! WithGod ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

In the vision translated by Daniel he saw the last worldempire which would be destroyed at the Lord’s coming. Thelegs of iron were the Roman Empire which existed at the timeof Christ. After Constantine adopted Christianity as a StateReligion in the 3rd Century AD, Church and State becameone, the Holy Roman Empire. But 700 years later with thedivision between Rome and Constantinople, this religiousempire divided into two – Roman Catholic in the West andOrthodox in the East.

Out of this ultimately came the secular European Union,brought into being by the Treaty of Rome in 1957. Thisempire, the feet of the image as Daniel showed, is a mixtureof iron and clay, cannot hold together and will be destroyedby the Coming of Christ – Daniel 2:42-44. The EU is literally a

mixture of the strong nations such as Germany and France,which control the weaker ones such as Greece, Portugal,Spain and the former communist countries.

In 2007 the European Council (the UNELECTED, UNDEMOC-RATIC controlling body of the EU) met in Lisbon to set inmotion a new Constitution for Europe. Known as the LisbonTreaty, this was to modify and replace the founding 1957Treaty of Rome, also the 1992 Maastricht Treaty which itselfhad been purposely drafted to DRIVE FORWARD THE INTE-GRATION OF EUROPE TO ITS FINAL CONCLUSION. All 27Member States (as they were then) were obliged to ratify thisnew Constitution by December 2009. Some governmentssimply signed up to the treaty without consulting their peo-ples. Some countries allowed their peoples a referendum.

In June 2008 we were surprised tohear reports on the international newsmedia about the Irish referendum tobe held on the Lisbon Treaty, and thethreats/pressures being put on thepeople of the Republic of Ireland toNOT reject it… We called friends inNorthern Ireland – no-one knew thereferendum was taking place inSouthern Ireland that very next day!!!We found out, the British media wererunning a total news blackout!Why…?

The Irish voted NO to the treaty! Weread the post-referendum reports inFrench, German and English newspa-pers: how was Brussels going torespond? – The papers were unani-mous – Brussels would either ignorethe NO vote and proceed with theimplementation of the Lisbon Treatyanyway, or make the Irish vote YES.That’s exactly what happened; within16 months there was a re-run of thereferendum. This time, the Irish votedYES…! Why…?

Over the years several countries havehad the opportunity to hold a referen-dum on certain different issues andtreaties to do with the EuropeanUnion. At different times the peoplesof Denmark, Spain, Portugal, France,Holland – and the Republic of Ireland– have voted NO when given theopportunity – to NO effect!!! Why…?

In its 2005 pre-election manifesto, theBritish Labour Party promised Britishvoters a referendum on the upcom-ing new European Constitution, theLisbon Treaty. Giscard d’Estaing, whodrafted and redrafted the treaty, him-self actually said of it that it was‘carefully crafted to confuse the pub-lic with different passages in differentplaces on different pages, to mixeverything up’! Because of this ‘re-drafting’, Gordon Brown, as the newlyelected Labour British Prime Minister,was able to renege on his promise toallow the British people a referendum– he steamrollered the Lisbon Treatythrough Parliament just days after theIrish rejected it – even though million-

aire businessman, Stuart Wheeler, wasat that time challenging the legalityof the actions of the BritishGovernment in the High Courts!

Czech Republic and Poland had stillnot ratified the treaty. What hap-pened in Ireland and Britain put pres-sure on them to sign. Czech President,Václaw Klaus, declared that ratifica-tion could NOT continue after beingrejected by Irish voters: “The EU can-not ignore its own rules. The LisbonTreaty has been roundly and demo-cratically rejected by Ireland, and ittherefore cannot come into force.Any attempt to ignore this fact andrecourse to pressure and politicalmanipulation to move the treaty for-ward would have disastrous conse-quences for Europe.” But Poland andCzech Republic both signed justbefore the ratification deadline dateof December 2009. Why…?

The EU is not just a free trade area, a‘common market’. At its core it’sabout FISCAL AND POLITICAL UNION.Very few people are aware of theextent of the plans Brussels has beenimplementing since 1990 and forwhich the Maastricht Treaty of 1992and the Lisbon Treaty were essential.The plan, known as ‘INTERREG’, is tocreate a ‘Europe of the Regions’, asuper-state to ‘permanently over-come old borders’ and to achieve a‘UNITED EUROPE’.

The Government of the UnitedKingdom has itself ‘devolved’ its ownUnion into its constituent parts, withScotland and Wales having their ownparliaments since 1998. GordonBrown attempted to further devolvethe regions, but failed.

But under ‘INTERREG’ the EU is prepar-ing to divide Britain into three regions,all being joined to areas in otherEuropean countries! Each new zone isto have its own ‘transnational region-al assembly’ and flag. The ‘ArcManche’ region joins parts of south-ern England with northern France; theAtlantic region includes western parts

of England, Wales and Ireland joinedto Portugal and Spain; the Northregion has eastern England joinedwith Norway, Sweden, Denmark,Belgium, the Netherlands and parts ofGermany.

There are 5 stages to ‘INTERREG’ – weare currently in the fifth and FINALstage, 2014-2020!

The EU is presently in such a crisis overfinance and migration – that theyneed to include Turkey (with 70 millionMoslems) and create a single militaryand political entity. But the EU isUNDEMOCRATIC AND UNACCOUNT-ABLE. When I said to the EuropeanHead of the Pentecostal Churches inKiev recently, that the EU is worsethan communism, he replied that,after years of living as a Christianunder communism and now negotiat-ing in Brussels – the EU is ONE HUN-DRED TIMES WORSE THAN COMMU-NISM!

In all the years since the formation ofthe Common Market, the evidence isthat every single British Prime Minister –from Ted Heath to Tony Blair – knewthe truth, but lied to the British people.What evidence is there that DavidCameron is telling the truth?Napoleon and Hitler attempted todestroy national sovereignty anddemocracy, Britain defeated them.The EU is a further clear attempt todestroy sovereignty and democracy!What sinister power is controlling theEU? Don’t get confused, it’s not the‘Antichrist’. But is it the devil himselfpre-empting the Kingdom of God onearth?

The issue over the referendum is notjust a spiritual one – sadly Europe isvery secular and Britain, over the pastyears, has become not just secularbut controlled by an atheistic minori-ty. That is why the statement mademany years ago by French PresidentChirac, ‘In creating a secular state wecreated a dry river bed of atheismwhich will attract a flood tide of falsereligion,’ is so prophetic.

In February David held ten days of ministry in Ukraine. Themeetings, both public and private, were in preparation for aNational Day of Prayer to be held, with the support of everyChristian denomination, in Kiev, this summer, on 18 June.

Ukraine is in crisis – war and death on its eastern borders,families and communities across the nation divided along

ethnic lines, the people angered by corruption in the gov-ernment. The problems in Ukraine cannot be solved solely bypolitical or military means – the churches recognise that onlyprayer can change the destiny of Ukraine. All the Ukrainianchurches will support a National Day of Prayer – but only ifwe organise – to do this, we need your prayer support!

The meetings held in February were also a tremendousopportunity for church evangelism. In one church alone,David spoke to over 3000 and more than 600 came forwardto receive Christ as their Lord and Saviour for the first time. Inevery Gospel meeting God confirmed the message with

many miracles of healing, including many healed of goitresand thyroid disorders (a big problem in Ukraine following theChernobyl nuclear disaster). We have the report that, in thelast of the evangelistic meetings, one person has now beenmedically confirmed healed of lymphoma!

I believe in miracles! Jesus said to Hisdisciples – to us – in Acts 1:8, “YOU willreceive POWER after the Holy Spirit hascome upon you, and you will be Mywitnesses – YOU will evangelise thewhole world!” That’s what Jesus said!We must expect miracles and go outand DO the things we talk about!

What I said to the Church in Kiev is verychallenging – but it shows the level ofmy faith. I have hired the 10,000 seatSport Palace in Kiev and called for aNational Day of Prayer on June 18th. Fortwo years the war has been fought inEastern Ukraine – neither the politiciansnor the military can bring a solution –but I believe that when all the Churchescome together as in 2 Chronicles 7:14,‘If my people will humble themselvesand pray…’ – God will drive out thetanks and bring peace!

God’s power is no less than it was 2000years ago. People say, “Oh that hap-pened in the Bible, it can’t happentoday...” But God made the world aswe know it, six thousand years ago!Over 3000 years ago, God destroyedthe most powerful army in the world injust one moment of time! – Peopledon’t understand the power of theGod of the Bible! You’ve got to beginto read this Book and see what kind ofa God we have! The more I read, themore I see the power of God, themore I believe in miracles: because ifGod could set Israel free from Egypt,

and destroy the whole of the Egyptianarmy when it was pursuing them, Hecan do the same today!

I’m challenging you to learn how topray! For two years on Ukrainian territo-ry, you have tanks, guns, people flee-ing from their homes, people beingkilled... But you have a God who canstop the war, stop the killing, removethe tanks – that’s the kind of God wehave! That’s why I’m coming to Ukraineon 18 June to hold a National Day ofPrayer. So that God will work a miraclein Ukraine so great, that the world willsee that our God has more power thanthe military, more power than the politi-cians – more power than America orthe European Union or Russia! I believein God! Christians, I want to challengeyou! If you really KNOW God, if youBELIEVE God, NOTHING, absolutelyNOTHING is impossible!

We have a Gospel of power, of author-ity! In Mark 11:12, Jesus and His disci-ples were going from Bethany toJerusalem – and they were hungry.Jesus saw there was a fig tree, butthere were no figs! Jesus cursed thetree! And the next day Peter saw thatit was already dead! Jesus said (v23-24), “Have faith in God! For whosoevershall say to this mountain” – that wasthe Mount of Olives – “be removedand cast into the sea” – that meantdown into the Dead Sea, 1600 metersbelow – “whosoever shall say that,and will not doubt but believe thatwhat he says will come to pass, he willhave what he says!” In other words, ifyou have the faith to believe God,and you speak in faith, God will dowhat you say! In my ministry, when Ipray with the sick, the sick are healed.I have seen miracles of healing andevery kind of miracle, from the verybeginning of my ministry. Do you seethe power that we have with Godwhen we believe His Words?

If you believe with all your heart,NOTHING is impossible. If only I could

teach you the power and authority wehave with God, you would have morefaith! Jacob fought with God all night– Genesis 32:24-28. Neither side couldwin. In the morning, God touched anddisabled his thigh, and still Jacob said,“I will not let You go unless You blessme!” And God said to Jacob, “As aprince you have power with God andwith men!” (KJV.) Do you see thepower? God said, “You have POWERWITH GOD and with men!”

Jesus came as the living evidence ofGod, as His Son, Emmanuel, God withus. And we Christians are the ONLYpeople in the world who KNOW thatJesus really IS the Son of God! Moslemssay He was a ‘prophet’ (but lesserthan Mohammed). Jesus was NOT a‘prophet’, He WAS and IS today theSon of God! So many in the Churchbelieve in ‘God’, but the Bible showsthat there are many gods in the world,so which ‘god’ do they believe in?Many don’t know God has a Son,Jesus! I KNOW who Jesus is! My Godsent His Son, Jesus, who died on across to forgive my sin, He was beatento heal my cancer. He healed me ofthroat cancer in 1964 and of lung can-cer in 2004 – without any medication,without any operation, by an absolutemiracle! Jesus is the Son of God withpower! – Power on earth, not just inHeaven – power HERE! Power to for-give sin, to heal sickness, to answerprayer, to break the curse of the devil!Power to set Ukraine free, to drive outthe tanks, to bring peace, not just inDonetsk region, but peace in MaidanSquare in Kiev, in the heart of thenation, in the whole nation. Only Godin Jesus’ Name can work this miracle. Ibelieve God will do it. Why? To showthe politicians, the military, that Godhas more power than any govern-ment, more power than your Ukrainegovernment, more power thanObama in America, more power thanMerkel in Germany, more power thanPutin!!! Do YOU believe in the God ofthe Bible?!!

I want to challenge Ukraine. As a nation, you turned yourback on God! Ukraine, you’ve turned away from God! I callon the whole nation of Ukraine: Repent of your sin, call onGod – God will deliver you! God sent His Son to break thecurse in Ukraine, to set you free! When God is love, when

God came to teach and to bring forgiveness – why do weturn our backs on God? I want to see a miracle here inUkraine! Confess your sin, and confess Jesus Christ as Lordof your life and of your nation.

I want to teach you HOW to pray. I’m anevangelist, but I cannot evangelisewithout prayer. Without that I have nopower in my ministry. Together we areworking for a Day of Prayer to saveUkraine. We can save your nation whenwe learn HOW to pray. People talkabout ‘anointing’, they want the anoint-ing that I have. But it’s more thananointing, I’ve learned authority. WhenJesus healed the Roman centurion’s ser-vant, the centurion saw the authorityJesus had. We also have authority!

When I was in a communist prison in1972 for smuggling Bibles into theCommunist Bloc (2 tonnes every time Icame), I was pastor, evangelist – but Ihad to learn all over again HOW to pray.For the first six months, it seemed as ifthere was NO answer. I prayed I wouldbe released – but I was condemned inthe court to stay. I prayed for food –there was none. I prayed my wife wouldbe able to visit me – she was refusedpermission. For six months I was learningHOW to pray in a cell where I was neveralone – I shared my cramped cell with amurderer, drug smugglers, criminals –the lights were on 24 hours a day – theguards brutalised us every night. Theonly place of comfort that I had was awooden stool with nails in it – I wasforced to sit on that for more than 12hours a day! Conditions were extreme.

HOW could I learn how to pray? I had todeprive myself physically, so that withno watch, no clock, I could force myselfawake in the night in order to be alonewith God. But there was NO answer. Iremember the emotion that morning,after six months, in the early hours, and Iwas saying, “Oh God I can’t pray anymore. Every prayer – You don’t answer.Every time I call – the answer is NO. OhGod, I cannot talk with You, I cannotpray, I’m better dead. Why live, if I haveno communion with You? Why live, ifYou have forgotten me?” In despera-tion, that morning, in the awfulness ofthat cell, as I sat on those nails, I couldn’t cry out to God any more.

And then I remembered the words ofthe disciples to Jesus, when even theydidn’t know how to pray, and I cried outlike them, “Oh Lord, teach me HOW to

pray!” And the Holy Spirit reminded meof the Lord’s Prayer. As a boy I attendeda boys’ school, where every morningwe had to repeat the Lord’s Prayer. Tothe other boys it was not a prayer, it wasa blasphemy, so that I vowed from mychildhood I would never ever recite theLord’s Prayer, because Jesus said wemust avoid vain, empty repetitions – theheathen do that.

So I began to say, “Our Father”, but Iargued, “That’s plural, I’m alone in here.I’m not in church. I have to say, ‘my’Father!” Suddenly I knew, He’s MINE!He’s my FATHER! I’m HIS child! I’m lockedin this stinking prison, but He’s not onlyMINE, He’s my FATHER! Then I came tothe next part, ’Who is in Heaven...’ – ButI argued, “You’re in Heavenly glory, withangel choirs, worship, power... I’m not inHeaven, I’m in a filthy cell, in a hell onearth! Oh God, You’re up there inHeaven, don’t You understand?!! I’m ina living hell!!!”

Then I remembered, God so loved me,He sent His Son, not only to live on earth,but to go into a prison like me. Godallowed His own Son to be incarcerat-ed, beaten, tortured – so much, Heshould have died under the beating,there and then in that prison cell, evenbefore He reached the cross! Godallowed it. Who am I if I am called tosuffer?

And then I came to the next part,‘Hallowed be Thy Name’. What doesthat mean? I have never understood.But it was as if the Lord said to me, “Thisis where you have to worship.” But HOWcould I in the circumstances I was in? Itried to ‘praise’ God through clenchedteeth. Can you imagine?!! I was inrebellion, there was no reality. HOWcould I praise God in the depths of hell?Suddenly, as I began to say thosewords, ‘Praise the Lord’, it was if the roofof the prison opened. I could hear theangel choirs, I heard the music ofHeaven, I sensed the glory of Heaven –something happened in that cell. Theglory of God came down! It was as if Iwas transported into Heaven and theglory of God came on me. I leaped upoff that stool and began to run aroundthat cell, singing, shouting, “Then sings

my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, HOWgreat Thou art!” The glory of God filledmy soul. Never in a church or prayermeeting have I ever experienced theglory of God, the very presence andpower of God – as I did in that hell onearth. There I learned HOW TO PRAY!

From that moment everything changed.I began to receive food. I had a visitfrom my family. And the greatest mira-cle, after only 10 months God sent theBritish Prime Minister to rescue me! That’sprayer! It’s not when everything is ok, it’swhen you are in the pit of hell, when thedevil is surrounding you, when you don’tknow how to open your mouth to pray...But something from within tells you,“He’s MINE! He’s MY Father! He sent HisSon to experience hell on earth – forME!” In that moment I was transportedinto the glory of Heaven. I’d never seenthe brilliance of the light or heard thesweetness of the music until thatmoment when God taught me HOW topray!

Join me in prayer: “Oh God, You cameto rescue even the greatest sinner fromthe depths of hell, give us a passionwhen we pray! Teach me to love thesinner, as You love me! Oh God, touchour hearts, open our hearts, open oureyes to see Jesus! – I want to see Jesus,not in Heaven, but down here, on earth,in Ukraine, in my country! Oh God touchthis nation, let this nation see Jesus, letthem see Your glory, Your power!” Cryout with me: “Oh God, I want to seeJesus, here, in my suffering, in mypoverty, in my sickness, in this hell onearth, in my nation, in my family! I wantto see the glory of God, I want to seeYOU Jesus! Please teach ME how topray!”

This winter a friend of the ministrymade it possible to spend some timein the most spectacular breathtakingmountains in all Europe.

On top of Jungfraujoch, on top ofEurope, I had the feeling of perchingon top of the whole world on a finerazor blade of rock, above many razorblades – as far as the eye could see!What force, what energy made this?!Nothing is impossible to him whobelieves – Jesus, through whom thesemountains were made, said so! Heknows mountains can be raised upand flattened – He Himself already didit!

As I went out from the research stationon top of the Jungfraujoch onto theopen air balcony – a metal grille sus-pended high above the sheer dropinto the deep, deep valley below – Isaw a plaque over the door whichsays: ‘Come and see the great worksof the Lord! Psalm 66:5.’ To Job Godsaid, “Where were YOU when I laidthe foundations of the earth?!!” – Job38:4. Then God showed Job all thegreatness of His creation, until Jobconfessed, “I KNOW YOU CAN DOEVERYTHING!” – Job 42:2.

Our God has ALL POWER – He CAN DOwhatever He has said!!! God promisedAbraham a child through Sarah. –

They were both well past childbear-ing, but Abraham believed God. Therecord is that he did not waverthrough unbelief regarding the prom-ise of God, but was strengthened in hisfaith and gave glory to God, beingfully persuaded that God had powerto do what He had promised. –Romans 4:17-21. Whatever God hassaid, He will do. Abraham saw thatGod, who made the countless stars,could also give him the promisedchild, and through this child, descen-dants as countless as the stars – eventhough he and Sarah were as goodas dead! Abraham gave God gloryBEFORE he received the promise. Howcould God fail?!!

What is visible to us in the naturalrealm reveals the invisible power ofGod! EVERYONE can see His power,His invisible, incredible creative power– just by looking at what He hasmade!!! So, if we doubt His power, weare in fact ‘without excuse’ as Paulwrote in Romans 1:20! How stupid tothink our circumstances are morepowerful than the Creator! Study ofthe world and the universe clearlyshows us that God has power to doANYTHING! Power to fulfil every prom-ise and perform every Word, everyplan of His!

On our way home from the mountains,

I was wondering what the future willhold... I remembered Jesus and Histhree closest disciples on the Mount ofTransfiguration where they saw HisGlory and heard the Voice of Godspeak from Heaven. But in the valleythe disciples were unable to heal thetroubled sick boy. Jesus rebuked themseverely for their lack of faith. But Hetold them very strongly, that even withthe smallest faith, they could movemountains! – Matthew 17:1-21. Thefaith we receive on the mountain withGod, we must use in the valley! Jesussaid so! He said it is PERVERSE not to!

I remembered the feeling when, fromthe sun-bathed mountain peak, ourgondola swung forward, thenplunged swiftly down into the deepdark valley floor below where ourhotel and the whole village lay inshadow. Psalm 23 swept over mymind, ‘though I go through the valleyof shadow of death (where the lightof the sun is cut off), I will fear no evil!’– DON’T FEAR THE EVIL! The Lord IS withyou!

Jesus and His disciples experiencedthe power of God on the mountains ofIsrael. Peter never forgot the Voicefrom Heaven on the Mount ofTransfiguration which said: “LISTEN! –LISTEN to what Jesus says to you!!!”
