• Challenge: How to better identify, engage, and develop leaders for the AIHA Board, volunteer groups, and local sections

• Proposed Path Forward: A Leadership Development program for past, present, and future AIHA leaders

• Targets three groups: Future leaders, current leaders, past leaders

• Builds on existing structures and resources wherever possible; minimal budget impact

• Builds leadership development into volunteer group project work

• Expands individual micro-volunteering opportunities• Smart expansion of SECP mentoring program

• Current leaders’ skills are developed while also developing others’ skills

• A leadership development cycle is built into the AIHA volunteer program

• IH professionals are equipping other leaders in their field
