Turley 2016
Zinfandel Howell Mountain
Tasting Notes: One of
Turley's emblematic bottlings, the 2016
Zinfandel Old Vines exhibits a lovely bouquet of
raspberries, plums, cherries and licorice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied,
deep and concentrated, with rich structuring tannins, a
generous core of fleshy fruit and a long, flavorful finish. Passalacqua notes that a lot of the single
vineyards that Turley works with today began life as part of the Old Vines blend while
the sources and farming improvements were made and
that a few barrels of many of the top single vineyards
usually find their way into the blend.

Daou reserve 2017
Cabernet sauvignon Paso robles

At this early stage, the 2017 cabernet sauvignon reserve
seems to be even more promising than the 2016, opening in the glass with

Rich and layered. there’s a lot of substance here, but it’s replete with sappy energy.
