MINVU housing programs are oriented to satisfy the housing needs of the poorest segments of the population depending on their incomes and savings capacity. By means of the “Fondo Solidario de Vivienda” (FSV), providing starting housing solutions which have since 2001 become the prevailing. The Ministry paid in 2005 for 33,421 units out of the total 56,155 houses built in the country
