Thursday 26th September 2019
CPS
This is the last Newsletter for the term. Tomorrow Friday 27th September
2019 is the last day for term 3. We would like to remind families that there
are no pupil free days at the beginning of term 4 and students resume on
Monday 14th October 2019. We wish you all a happy and safe holiday and
hope everyone will be refreshed for another hectic Term.
Notes have been sent home for expressions of interest for the 4-6 excursion
to Coffs Harbour and Darlington Beach Resort. Permission notes will be sent
out at the beginning of Term 4.
Plans are also underway for the K-3 excursion.
As summer approaches please ensure your child has a school hat labelled
with their name. Hats are available at the office for $10.00.
Work on the Admin block is set to
begin in the next couple of weeks and
I have been told that it will be
completed by the first day of school
next year.
Last week we had a visit from
UNE Discovery Voyager. It was a day
of action packed, hands on science
activities. The students enjoyed the
visit and we
look forward to
having them
back again
next year.
Its been work, work, work for the Cowper Gardening Club! They
have been busy planning and prepping the school garden in
anticipation for a colourful term 4.
The students have researched and planted many different
varieties of flower seeds that they believe will thrive in our
weather conditions, grow quickly and mass produce.
The members of the garden club are already planning a term 4
project involving the flower garden and its produce. Stay tuned for
exciting developments in term 4!
Guess what we planted?
Hint: it not a wrinkly old potato!
