your Box Top coupons to the form and send it to class with your student. You can bring dimes too! Just put them in a baggy or envelope and staple that to the Box Top collection form. The three classes to collect the most will win treats.

Walmart Grant

We were excited to get a $1,000 grant from Walmart in December, thanks to Sunnyside parent Susie Mui-Shonk who took advantage of their employee-sponsored grant program! A number of large companies in the area have employee-sponsored grant programs,

in addition to matching funds. These are grants that only employ-ees can apply for. If your company has such a program and you would like help from the Sunnyside PTA in putting the application together, please contact Gill Hirst at [email protected].

Matching Gifts

We have had a stellar year so far with companies matching donations from Sunnyside parents: Adobe, BlackRock, Gap, Google, Genentech, Intuit, and Wells Fargo. If you work for these or other companies that have matching gift programs, please make sure your generous donations to our school are matched.

Special Donation Made to Sunnyside

A family whose daughter attends Alvarado Elementary in Noe Valley recently donated $500 to Sunnyside Elementary. They sent a lovely letter about how they enjoyed their tour of our school a couple of years ago and were impressed by the great work of the Sunnyside PTA. They also mentioned knowing several families with children at Sunnyside. We are touched by the generosity of this fellow San Francisco public school family

and thank them warmly.
