Objectives:Maximise the potential of your Pupil Premium Grant and ensure Ofsted readiness by joining Graham Moore, experienced teacher and co-founder of Humanutopia, as well as Lorna Fitzjohn, Ofsted’s Regional Director for the West Midlands, primary and secondary school students, and a range of innovative, award-winning schools, pioneering teachers and senior leaders, to discuss practical Pupil Premium strategies to help you raise attainment, break down barriers to success, implement effective interventions, understand and tackle social barriers, and improve your planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation.

This one-day conference will provide you with:• A keynote session focusing on identifying, understanding and

tackling the range of social barriers and challenges faced by children and young people, especially those who are disadvantaged

• A keynote session with Ofsted, directly focusing on the Pupil Premium

• An opportunity to hear and explore the latest information and advice on Pupil Premium best practice

• Advice on being prepared for and succeeding during Ofsted inspection – both generally and in the context of the Pupil Premium

• Interactive workshops offering practical approaches and deliverable solutions that you can take away and implement immediately

• Workshops involving schools from across the range of Pupil Premium income

• A forum to meet, network and share ideas with colleagues from other schools

• Workshops led by teachers, school leaders and educationalists and based on work in and with schools across the country

• Details on current thinking and best practice including:1. Pupil Premium whole-school, group-level and individually

targeted interventions 2. How a positive school climate can mitigate the negative

contribution of disadvantage and poverty on academic achievement

3. Parental engagement: tackling apathy and changing attitudes 4. Ofsted readiness and how performance and results can be

reported to Ofsted, governors and parents 5. Measuring progress and the impact of interventions6. The role of governors in scrutinising Pupil Premium work

effectively7. Identifying which data is important, ensuring accuracy, reliability,

validity and well-informed future Pupil Premium spending8. The links between achieving data best practice and Ofsted

readiness/preparation9. Lesson management of Pupil Premium students, pastoral

support and subject-specific teaching ideas10. Pupil Premium coordination: the responsibilities and reporting

1 Returning the signed registration form constitutes a firm booking. 2 The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment

is not made six weeks prior to the conference taking place. Any outstanding payment becomes the responsibility of the signatory made on the reservation form

3 Written cancellations received six weeks prior to the conference will be accepted and a refund less a 10% administration fee will be made. After this date, no refunds can be given. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. If written cancellation is not received six weeks prior to the conference full payment will still be due irrespective of whether the delegate attends the conference. Substitute delegates are welcome at any time.
