Kerry Tel: + 353 66 4010771 E-mail: [email protected] Your tasks Assessment of required construction works for our wind farm projects in Ireland and United Kingdom Design of purchase strategy and Identification of commercial potentials Preparation and review of Bill of Quantities Initiation of tender-phase with respect to the construction works for our wind farm projects in Ireland and United Kingdom Evaluation of offers from a technical and from a commercial point of view Negotiation of conditions of contract Awarding of works to our subcontractors on basis of results negotiated Contract management of construction works in accordance with all applicable laws Prequalification of subcontractors Your profile 3rd level qualification as a Civil engineer, Industrial engineer, Commercial manager or equivalent Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant field with a strong knowledge of Claim / Project / Contract Management in the construction industry Previous experience working with SAP is a distinct advantage Proficiency in all MS Office packages Have a positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment along with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills Independent and self-motivated working style A valid Safe Pass Card and full, clean driving license Willingness to travel both within Ireland and internationally The Purchase Manager is a member of our Project & Logistics Manage- ment (PLM) team. The team is focused on realizing and optimizing our wind farm projects all over the world. The team of Purchase Managers for construction works is responsible for subcontracting the necessary cons- truction works whilst taking into account the three drivers of the Project- Management Triangle. Therefore, the candidate needs to assess the required works for every project together with our supporting departments and finally close a contract with one of our prequalified subcontractors. These subcontracted works are: The realization of crane platforms, (piled) foundations and the road and electrical wind farm infrastructure. The position will involve an introduction period, approx. 3 months, at our headquarters in Aurich, Germany (German language is an advantage, but not essential). In this period we will introduce the candidate to the position and provide the candidate with the right trainings to “get the toolbox filled” with all required skills for this position.
