Reducing costs thanks to purEco LED technology

Today’s companies are in a difficult competi-tive environment. There is a need to optimise, find new ways and save costs, and electricity costs are a significant proportion of this. Ef-ficient lighting is a relevant factor, particularly in shift work, in halls with no natural lighting and for night work. This affects the produc-tivity of staff as well as their safety. On the other hand, cost is important too (light fit-tings, maintenance and electricity).

2. Improving working safety

As LED lighting emits neither infrared rays (heat) nor UV rays (which are in traditional lighting), the lighting does not cause any physical harm. The luminosity and effect – almost emulating day-light – achieved by the high color rendering index (CRI), increase working safety and the well being of employees. There are also clear improvements to be seen compared to traditional yellow ligh-ting. The color temperature (Kelvin) can be se-lected as required.

1. Reducing electricity costs (by up to 80%)

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconduc-tor light source. In the LED chip, the energy from the electric current is transformed into light energy through relatively low heat incre-ase. Thanks to LED technology, energy sa-vings of up to 80% can be achieved, based on lower power consumption. This is due to the almost loss-free, direct conversion of the electricity into light energy. Changing to LED lights is particularly economical for compa-nies conducting shift work, or with working days of more than 10 hours per day. The amortization period may be under 24 months

3. Innovative and high-quality components

At purEco LED AG, we deploy the latest tech-nology and high quality components. LED chips and drivers come from the world’s lea-ding manufacturers in LED technology (Phi-lips, Osram and Cree). Thanks to a variety of optics, the optimum lighting can be found for every application. LED chips are also excel-lently protected and are shockproof and vib-ration-proof. Besides this, there is no danger of glass breakage. In contrast to conventional lights, our products do not contain any toxic heavy metals, such as mercury or lead.

4. Reducing maintenance / long service life

Thanks to their long service life (50,000 hours), maintenance is considerably redu-ced. LEDs have many times the service life compared to conventional lighting. There are therefore no future costs for replacing lights and ballasts, thereby reducing the associated work. As the lighting is not classed as spe-cial waste, this leads to lower disposal costs. Ballasts cannot fail with LED tubes as they are operated directly with 230V.

5. Resistant and lasting technology

The purEco LED industrial spotlight is an in-teresting alternative to conventional ceiling spotlights. Existing cabling can be retained. Simple installation profiles enable them to be changed quickly without holding up compa-ny activities. The LED technology generates remarkable light values with low energy con-sumption and minimal heat development and therefore makes a considerable contribution to increasing efficiency, quality and precision. Thanks to the robust casing, the LED chips are resistant to contact, shock and moisture. All our industrial lights have IP65 protection rating characteristics.

Floodlighting on a New Level

Just like the PEH6, this luminaire is of very good technical characteris-

tics. Whether indoor or outdoor, purEco LED floodlights are of great use

in different environments. The modular design and the three different

beam angles (light distribution curve) for all purEco LED floodlights ena-

ble optimum illumination for every requirement. The heat management

ensures a long service life thanks to high-quality aluminum cooling ele-

ments.

PEH6360 - Light Distribution

The light distribution of the PEH6360 LED highbay

with a middle beam angle achieves 820lx on the

workspace at a mounting height of 5m with a dia-

meter of about 4m. Thus, this model is also suitable

for installation heights of 15 - 20m. Thanks to the

PEH6 – LED Highbay in Practice

In a production facility, with a mounting height of 8m, a very homogeneous ilumination of 300lx on the workspace was required. purEco LED AG achieved this with 161 units of PEH6345 LED highbays with a wide beam angle and 180 watt lighting power. The illumination was very uniform with an average illuminance of 317lx. The total consumption of the 6‘525m2 production plant is now at 28.9 kWh. The DIN 18599 lighting standard is designed for surface-related energy consumption. In this example, the engery con-

sumption is only 10 kWh per m2, which is well below the 35 kWh per m2 allowed by Energy Sa-ving Ordinance (EnEV 2003). Thus, the energy efficiency of this building fulfills all future energy standards. Thanks to purEco LED’s lighting so-lution, the customer achieved significant energy savings and 50,000 hours of maintenance-free LED illumination. Moreover, due to the innova-tive LED technology, the working environment and employee motivation could be improved.
