Python Developer

Are you a motivated, intelligent, creative and hardworking person that enjoys being apart of a young and highly-energic environment, then we are looking for you as our Python Developer.

The Python Developer responsible to reach the software objectives for data analysis in line with the overall Dynamic Single Molecule research & development and strategy. You will work closely together with the business developers and engineers on automation scripts to allow easy operation of complex instruments for Single Molecule Applications. You will be part of a highly motivated and skilled Software team in our amazing Amsterdam office.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining our data analysis package pylake.• Working with our business developers and engineers on automation scripts to allow easy operation of complex

instruments for Single Molecule Applications.• Develop unit tests and integration tests, refactor existing code, and participate in code review to ensure code quality.• Software-related customer support, including occasional on-site support of instrument users .• Optimizing software engineering processes.

Who are you?

• BSc or MSc degree in a scientific subject or can show equivalent professional experience• Strong focus on the practical aspects of software engineering and awareness of industry best practices• Working experience with Python 3• Familiarity with data analysis, statistics, and mathematical modelling• Enjoy working in an agile team that is passionate about technology• Want to make an excellent product, like to work in a dynamic and agile environment, and have the right getting-

things-done mentality to meet occasional demanding deadlines• Excellent communication skills.
