Junior Golf Academy de Casa de Campo presentó primer Torneo de Golf Anual de Padres e Hijos
Buen ambiente y la camaradería fueron el espíritu deportivo y predominante durante la preciosa tarde del pasado sabado 23 de abril
2016, donde fue celebrado exitosamente el primer Torneo de Golf Anual de Padres e Hijos de la Junior Golf Academy de Casa de Campo.
Este torneo, fue jugado en formato Scramble, un padre y un niño. Y estuvo supervisado por los organizadores Erick Lilibridge y Carlos
Oliva Funes. El primer lugar fue ganado empate con 35 golpes por la familia Oliva compuesta por Carlos, Majo, Feliz y Antonio.
El segundo lugar fue para David y Luis Garcia Dubus con 40 golpes y emptados con 41 golpes el tercer lugar fue para Ignacio y Eduardo
Guerra, Joseph y Carlota Besso Perez, jaime y Loly Mayol. La ceremonia de premiación se realizó después del torneo en el hoyo 19 del
campo de golf Dye Fore con un coctel y degustacion de los productos Higueral.Ejecutivos de Casa de Campo estuvieron presentes,
Rafael Torres, Daniel Hernandez, Fabricio Schetini, Robert Birtel y Manuel Relancio.

After recently taking delivery of the all new Viking 92 Enclosed Bridge Fa La Me, Frank Rodriguez headed the boat to the epic bite in the Dominican Republic. The boat arrived at Casa de Campo Marina in the Dominican at the end of February. Captain Rob Moore and Mate Taylor Beck-ford were chomping at the bit to get the boat out and see what this big baby could do. On the first fishing day the reels screamed as the boat hooked up with a triple header right out of the gate. Over the next month the boat released 50 blues, five sails and two white marlin. Click here to see some of the live action. "After watching her moves during this trip and the way she can work," Frank quipped, "Rob gave the girl a new nickname, Big Sexy. And I agree!"
The amazing catch report won team Fa La Me Top Boat in the Marina Casa de Campo Cup. The second annual MCDCCup is a culmination of month long tallies that ran from March 15 through April 15. Fa La Me danced on the top of the leaderboard throughout the event but it came down to a shootout on the final day.
Anglers MaryEllen Rodriguez, Frances Psciuk-Auerbach and David Auerbach pulled through with four blues to claim the top spot with 41 blue marlin on their score card, besting second place boat by just one fish. As you can see here, it was all about the Fa La Me.
Frank had this to say about his Dominican Republic journey, "Boat handled impeccably. On the best day we were nine for nine on blue marlin. We had guests aboard most of the tournament month so many anglers were marlin fishing for the first time. Plus we had quite a few ladies in the pit. Seeing the women and new anglers release their first fish was priceless, really a special time. We absolutely had a blast and Casa de Campo, as always, is a beautiful, fun, family place. And by the way...who says a big boat doesn't raise fish?"
Captain Rob and Taylor left Casa de Campo this past Sunday morning at 27 knots. They chugged through the night at 9 knots then at sunrise picked it up back up and ran to Clarence Town, Bahamas. Rob said, "It was pretty rough on Monday but the 92 ate it up running 27 knots all day and not noticing a bounce. Amazing boat and ride."Make sure to follow the next step in the inaugural Big Sexy Tour as the boat makes it way to the Abaco, Bahamas, to fish The Shootout, Bakers Bay Invitational and the Abaco Beach Blue Marlin Tournament.

The Casa de Campo Dominican Republic Qualifier is a qualification tournament to get into the actual Casa de Campo Dominican Republic Open PGA Tour Latino America event. Anyone that is not part of the tournament may try to qualify at the DYE FORE Golf Course on Sunday, May 8th, the Sunday before the event. If successful, the golfers that are fortunate enough to qualify will be part of a great field of golfers being played at one of the great golf courses in the world, Teeth of the Dog.
This international golf tournament, now in its seventh year, is part of the PGA Tour Latino America and will be played this year at the world-renowned Teeth of the Dog golf course. The tournament will include 144 participating players representing 17 different countries from around the world to compete for a prize of US $175,000.
