For all the images I took for my

magazine I took using a DSLR camera that I

rented from school. I have never used a

professional camera before. I had learnt

about different camera angles and

shots, and was able to use this when taking

my photographs. I have also learnt about

focusing on a DSLR camera.

I have used Photoshop before in Media

GCSE. When I used it during my

preliminary exercise I learnt different

techniques you can use on Photoshop to

make my magazine look more professional.

When I was making my magazine my

knowledge of Photoshop expanded

massively. And this software has helped me

hugely when making my magazine front

cover.

I used school computers to create my

magazine. I have learn alot about

computers and the software on them when

making my magazine. The two main

software packages I used when making my

magazine were Photoshop and Quark

Xpress. Without using these I would not

have been able to make my magazine to the

standard of quality that I have.

Before making my magazine I had never

used Quark Xpress before. When I first

learnt how to use it when making my

preliminary task, I found it very difficult to

understand. But when it came to making my

magazine contents page and double page

spread my knowledge about the software

grew. Now that I fully understand Quark

Xpress and know how to use it I understand

how important this software is when making

magazine pages.

Before using a blog within Media I

had seen blogs but never made one myself.

I didn't realise how easy it was to upload

and organise work on a blog. I like

presenting my work threw a blog because I

believe it looks neater and is easier to see

what I have done and how my skills have

grown.

This was the first presentation

website I used. I like this presentation site

because I believe my work looks neat and

modern in this way. I have made

presentations this includes; uploading

photos, writing text and using arrows. You

can also zoom in and out of points and

pictures you have added.

allowed me to upload PowerPoint's that I

have made and then post them on my blog
