Different shapes and dimensions are possible, and weight up to 2000kg. A steel single-must structure is used; double-must is also available. Lifting occurs on a rack (single-must) or with rope/chain/belt (double- mast). The vertical moving group (hoist) is maid of cartered tubular frame, with guide loose wheels and transversal register bearings. Bottom rail is made with a mono-rail fixed to the floor by anchor bolts. The upper rail is directly connected to the shelves structure At both ends of translation runways (horizontal and vertical) electronics, electro-mechanical and mechanical security device are used. For each moving axis is used a double-loop speed- position control, with both feedback of speed (from a resolver mounted on the motor) and position (from an external encoder, mechanical or optic). The used LU handling devices are telescopic forks (single or twin-body), push-pull hook, or combi device as forks and belt combined. Available with steering wheels or with stacker bridge, in way to use one machine for more lanes. Warehouse Management Software WMS is the software package for the automatic management of the factory warehouses and logistic flow. WMS coordinate the automatic devices (stacker cranes, agv, rgv, shuttles, conveyors, etc.) and the manual ones (hand-hel wireless terminal, printers, etc.) optimizing the warehouse material allocation and handling, in terms of capacity, functionality and performances (with ABC analysis and other load/unload algorithms). WMS manages and rationalize the factory incoming and outcoming material flow, the picking and refilling activities, the operational and information procedures, the inventory activities, the registry data and the la report production. With the reports analysis it’s possible evaluate the plant behaviour and the chosen management strategies, enabling where necessary the test of new ones. WMS can be interfaced, in a customized way (file exchange or database sharing), both with the factory information systems (factory host, ERP as SAP, etc) and with others automation system (plc, etc.). WMS can be customized and integrated with the following optional modules: Manual activities with wireless solution Material tracking (inside the factory and after shipping) Production scheduler Automatic guided vheicle system (AGVs)
