Dear Sir,

Ref your letter dated 09.09.2014, the details are being provided as under:

A. Brief description of lalru POL Depot is as under:

The storage capacity of depot is 2756 Kl MS, 12066 Kl HSD, 182 Kl SKO and 182 Kl Ethanol. The details of tankage is enclosed herewith. The land used in project is 8.4 acres. Water is drawn from bore well at the rate of 8Kl/day. The power is being supplied by PSPCl. Three DG sets of 250 KVA, 180 KVA and 25 KVA are installed with acoustic covers. There are no National Parks/Wildlife sanctuaries within 10 km. No domestic or industrial effluent is being discharged. Fully fledged fire fighting facility as per OISD 117 has been installed. The fire fighting facility include water ring mains, three fire engines, two jockey pumps, hydrants, monitors, sprinklers, and fire extinguishers. Tank farm is provided with dyke wall as per OISD 118. Oil water separators have been provided. Refer annexure for detail.

B. The specific conditions as per 1VI0EF letter dated 18th March 2008 and compliance is as under~

1. Regular Ambient Air Quality monitoring is done. 2. The depot is covered by fire fighting facilities as per OISD 117. 3. DG set stack height is as per CPCB guidelines. 4. Noise levels within approved limits of 75 DB. 5. Regular monitoring of VOC and HC done. 6. No waste water and solid waste is being generated. 7. Green belt is provided to mitigate the project affect.

C. The general conditions in MOEF dated 18th March 2008 and details are as under:

1. Guidelines of CPCB are adhered to. 2. No further expan,~ion in project will be done without approval. Only product

stored in tanks may be changed as per the space requirement. 3. Regular monitoring of emission being done. Ambient Air quality is being

monitored for VOC and HC. 4. The rules and regulations of Hazardous Chemicals rule, 1989 as amended are

being followed. 5. The hazardous waste (management and handling) rules are followed. 6. The overall noise level is below 75 DB. 7. Olll:~ health and satety cell is constituted to manage environment. Testing done

by authorized parties. 8. Adequate fund, recurring and non recurring are available. 9. The details llS requii~u clre belhg provided to Pollution control

board/Concerned authorities. 10. The Punjab Pollution Board vide their Air and Water NOC dt. 21.04.2008

accorded approval for Depot operation.
