P & C COMMITTEES, ROSTERS AND NEWS

GENERAL MEETING: Please mark your diaries for our next meeting – 2pm, Wednesday 1st August. We need a quorum of 7 to make decisions so please come along if you can. We are all done in 30-45 mins so you’ll be out in time to pick the kids up. ROTARY CHANGEOVER DINNER: On behalf of the P&C we would like to thank every one of you, that responded with a resounding yes, to help cook, donate or serve at the Rotary Changeover Dinner on 25th June. This is a significant annual fundraiser for the P&C, and is catered for by the Kindy to Year 3 parent group. The night was another huge success, with us serving around 40 people, with glowing feedback from the Rotary Club members and guests yet again. Funds from this annual event go towards such things as additional money for consumables such as arts and craft supplies for the Early Learning Centre and some new home reading books for the Year 1, 2 and 3’s. In the past the P&C has provided additional funds for special requests such as the cubby house in the Kindy playground. I am sure you will agree that our children do benefit from P&C funds and that many hands contributing makes the load lighter on us all. Thank you all once again, Stacey Harris & Sarah Caporn (co-ordinators) WHEATBELT BALL: Quairading DHS will be hosting this wonderful event for our high school students this year. The date hasn’t been confirmed yet but Mr Curtin has approach the P&C for some help both for decorations and also light finger food catering on the night. More details to follow.
