Alignment: Critical course elements work together to ensure that students achieve the desired learning outcomes.

QM Rubric can be used for support during -•Course reviews - supports the design review process for current courses•Course design – used as a tool make it easier to design new courses; sets standards to streamline the course creation process•Course revision and improvement – guide for revision of existing courses•Quality Benchmarking in online and hybrid courses - rubric can define "best practices" for quality online and hybrid/blended courses

To assist course developers, the OCIP team developed12 Step Checklists to guide course design, review, and/orrevision.

To see each checklist for each standard:

1. Go to the OCIP Resource Wiki (ocipresources.pbworks.com).2. Find the row with today’s date (Wed. July 24th).3.Review the checklists provided.4.Each person will be assigned a standard and step.5.Using the sample course English 203, find evidence of your assigned step.6. Be prepared to share.
