How we work

Once awarded a contract, the company will organise and set up an effective management and supervision team that is structured specifically for each project. The project team will be drawn from the technical and management resources within the company to provide personnel with the necessary skills required for each stage of the project.

The team will produce a strategy for the contract and will identify the critical success for the project as follows:

Health, Safety & Environmental Management isOf paramount importance and the acceptance of Responsibilities is taken very seriously,

All levels of staff and operatives are trained toHigh standards in respect of protection and Environmental control of both operatives and theGeneral public.

All technical staff and operatives have been trainedIn Health & Safety and carry Solas Safe pass & CSCS Cards. Competence of all employees and engaged Labour is checked prior to commencement and Records of achievement held at Head Office.

Prior to the commencement on site a “Starter Pack”Of health, Safety and Environmental Control is Produced which is specific to the site. Included inThe pack are Risk Assessments, Method Statements,Risk Control. Specific Requirements and all other Relevant information

Environmental Policy

The “Starter Pack” is used by the site team as a Building block towards the job completion Health,Safety and environmental File.

It is our policy that all sites are checked at minimumOne month intervals by our Health, Safety & environmental control officer. A report of each visit Is also made available to the main contractor andSite operatives.

Recently the company has engaged the services ofIMSM, to help Intec Energy achieve ISO 9001, 14001 & 18001 accreditation, this will strengthen our valuesAnd insure our policies are adhered to.

Intec Energy will be using a Competent Contractor Scheme, Whereby our supply chain sub-contractors will be pre-qualified. The scheme will provide E-Learning training to improve knowledge and skills to our own staff and sub-contracting staff.

Training & Certification

All of our office staff, operatives, engineers and sub-contractors hold their Relevant training, whether it’s been a full apprenticeship, Collage Degree, SOLAS Safe Pass, Manual Handling & Abrasive Wheels training along with sector skill specific CSCS training.

All of our management staff complete, Managing Safety in Construction, Scaffold inspection, they also have Electrical Safety, Temporary Works, First Aid, Confined Spaces, Fire Safety, Abrasive Wheels, Asbestos awareness, CPR and various ongoing toolbox and safety awareness courses specific to site. There are systems in place for disseminating up-to-date developments in health and safety legislative issues which may arise.

Site contracts and projects are managed by our site experienced management teams.

Administration of our business is led by a highly qualified team of professionalpersonnel and uniquely in a business of our industry size includes a dedicated fulltimeprofessionally qualified Health and Safety manager.

All contracts are managed using our software trained personnel and led by our Business Manager and Senior Estimator.

Intec Energy is currently investing in Building Information Modelling for futureprojects.
