TECHNOLOGY

QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER-I

JAN-MAR 2018

MESSAGE FROM SENIOR DIRECTOR

With the onset of the year 2018, we have

focused to gear up for the notable events and

achievements to release this quarterly

newsletter. The prime intent behind it is to

inform about the progressive inclination of

IILM towards academic excellence of the

students; organizing competitions to ensure

students participation and develop a culture of

reporting to build up the ethos of our team.

First quarter of the year represented the

beginning of the even semester with the

respective courses. We, at IILM, without

losing the traditional set of our academic work,

tried our best to conceal the hidden potential of

our students through Conference

ELECTROCON, and our Technical Fest-

IGNITE 2018. This quarter of the year is also

dedicated for sports competitions. IILM

conducted IMPULSE (a series of sports

activities) to put its students in a non-academic

challenge mode and build an on-field team

spirit.

Amidst the busy schedule of this quarter, we

tried to regenerate with our faculty by

successfully executing four FDPs in different

departments. It has always been being a

constant effort of our faculty to instil

exemplary skills and responsible values in our

students to make them the best future citizens.

This is indeed the essence of a responsible

education.

I am really optimistic about expressing my

gratitude and best wishes; and ensure my

personal guidance for all future endeavours to

achieve inspiring vision and mission at IILM.

SEMINAR/CONFERENCES

event was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr.

Vinod Sharma, (MD, Deki Electronics

Limited). Our senior director sir, Mr. Ajay

Pratap Singh; Director Ma’am- Dr. Meenu

Singh; all departmental heads, faculty

members, outside participants and students

were also present. This conference was a

display of great blend of innovation, knowledge

and technology. The chief guests and judges

highly appreciated the innovative skills put up

by the students and make this event a real

success.

IGNITE 2018 (Technical Fest)

IGNITE, a Technical Mega Festival of IILM

was conducted on 16th and 17th March this

year. Around 600 students participated in this

event. The intent behind this festival was to

create a platform for knowledge sharing,

interaction and also to test the technical

expertise among engineering and management

students.

A large number of entries came from the distant

places of the country and students exhibit their

Student Research and Innovation

Institutional Student Project (Action

Taken)

Vision-2020 concept is about

developing IILM Engineering as an

‘Ecologically Sustainable Green

Campus’ is conceptualized. Three

dimensions of this vision to make

IILM-

-Environmentally Sound, - Socially

Just & - Economically Viable; are

being looked after by following

guidelines of ‘Sustainability Principles

& Civic Responsibilities’.

How far we have gone till now-

1. Industrial & NGO visits

planned for institutional

assessment of ecological

sustainability with student

participation.

2. Strengthening of ties with

relevant institutes for carrying

out collaborative sustainability

projects, is being done.

3. IILM Engineering is connected

with CEE India, UNDP-GEF,

Vatavaran & BSI for

strengthening IILM’s vision of

developing ‘Ecologically

Balanced Green Campus’ and

student involvement through

internship and research.

4. Redevelopment and up-

gradation of Okhla bird

sanctuary inauguration to mark

the International Day of Forest

- 21st March, by Union

Minister for Environment,

Forest and Climate Change,

Dr. Harsh Vardhan and

Minister of State for Ministry

of Environment, Forest and

Climate Change, Dr. Mahesh

Sharma was attended.

5. Network is being strengthened

and utilized for

implementation of various

student projects for

implementing the

sustainability vision.

Solar Energy Panels-

Creating another milestone to fulfil the

commitment of IILM towards the

environment, Solar Panels were

inaugurated by Mr Bal Krishna

Tripathi (IAS) Addl. CEO Greater

Noida Industrial Authority on 29th

March, 2018. At IILM, we always

supported the environmental cause and

thus successfully resorted towards

clean energy solutions to fulfill our

daily energy needs. India, being a

tropical country has abundance of

social energy which is yet to be tapped.

This solar panel with Capacity

149.5KWp only reduces the cost but

also diminishes the need to rely on

exhaustive and unclean energy

producing ways, hence creating all side

win-win situation.
