Tú means you (informal):

-It is used with a friend, a family member or someone younger.

-It is in 2nd person singular.

Usted means you (formal):

-It is used with a person you don’t know, someone older, someone to who you want to show respect.

-It is in 3rd person singular.

vosotros and ustedes mean you (plural)or you all. You plus another person.

Eg. Paul and you=you “all”

Vosotros is used only in Spain. Vosotros is 2nd plural.

Ustedes is used in Mex. S.A and C.A. Ustedes is 3rd person plural.

Gustar in Spanish means to please. In English we use it as the verb to like.

In Spanish:

Soccer pleases me.

I like soccer.

You must use a clarifier. A clarifier emphasizes who is doing the liking.

To talk about what people like to do, use gusta + the infinitive.

The 3rd rule is that if what precedes gustar is a verb then we use gusta.
