Question 4 How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, and planning and evaluation stages ?

We used a Sony HD dv camera for some of the filming of our music video. They were light weight cameras and were easy to take around whilst we were filming. The camera was also easy to use and film with, which I thought was a big plus. The camera was also easy to put on and take off a tripod.

In our group we set up a group Facebook page so that we could all communicate together outside of lessons and so that we could share out ideas and share photographs that we had taken.

I also used the Facebook groups as a ways for people that I am friends with, that are in my target age range to give me feedback on my video and print products.

I used programs, slide share, slide rocket and Google docs to present my research and planning and evaluation questions. These programs were easy to use and I found them to be quite easy and presented my work in a way that I found visually interesting. These are all online presentation programs.

I used prezi as well to display my information. This was more difficult to use but I found it very creative.

I used a cannon power shot camera to capture shots from the filming process. To document it. As the camera was mine I found it simple to use and new all the functions that I could use. I also used the camera to capture location shots and health and safety shots

I used blogger as a way of documenting my research and planning and as a way of documenting the final outcome.

I used Photoshop to edit my photographs and construct them to become my final outcome. I find Photoshop simple to use because I have used it in other subjects and I have the program at home.

I used final cut express to edit my music video. This program was quite fiddly to use but after a while it became okay to use and came a bit easier as it progressed.
