The Next Book Club Discussion:
Friday, September 11 at 10:00am
Pick up and read the next book club selection,
My Father’s Paradise: A Son’s Search For His Family’s Past
by Ariel Sabar. The author “brings to life the ancient
town of Zakho, discovering his family’s place in the
sweeping saga of Middle-Eastern history…This
powerful book is an improbable story of tolerance and hope set in what
today is the very center of the world’s attention.”
Volunteers Needed to Usher or Greet
at Our High Holyday Services
TBA is asking for your assistance to serve as an
usher or a greeter for the High Holydays. Volunteers help insure that
our High Holyday worship services run smoothly. Sign up to assist
with greeting and ushering on the TBA website or
contact Jamie Wilson at [email protected]

Selichot Program and Service
Saturday, September 5 from 7:00-10:00pm Begin the High Holydays on a high note and make them
more meaningful.

Montreal when Holocaust survivors Hersh Rasseyner (Saul Rubinek) and Chaim (R.H. Thomson) reunite on Rosh Hashanah. The men become
involved in a daylong discussion of God, fate, reconciliation, and friendship in this sensitive film from director Eli Cohen.
Coffee, cake and Havdalah at 8:30pm. Following, at 9:00pm will be a magnificent Selichot service, introducing the music of the Holydays and
beginning the work of repentance .
