Introduction:-

The year of 2018-19 is the 4th year for RES. Every year begins with great enthusiasm and zeal so as to

be able to meet all the changes as well as new things coming our way.

Certain Changes we made this year are as follows:-

1. For Grade 9 we gave ready Q & A for Science, Social Science, English and Hindi to the students with an intention to help them read and practice writing.

2. Till Grade 3 we have introduced the Mother-Teacher Concept. April-May 2018-19

2018-19 we started with Grade 9, we have 2 divisions for Nursery to G-4 (wherein Grade 1 has 3

divisions). During the month of April we had regular classes for students as it was the settling period for the

new students, parents as well as staff. Till grade 3 have mother teacher concept from this year. Number of

students in the Academic Year 2017-18 was 359 and this year we are around 489 students.

Our academic sessions for the year started from 9th of April for grades 1 to 9, on 12th of April

started with nursery class, on 17th of April started with LKG and UKG. On 28th of April we had organized

open day for parents to meet the class teachers and subject teachers.

For Grade 9 Academics, these are the following points we are taking care of:-

1. To focus on Grade 9 we decided to give the answer books or digest for children to refer the

answers.

2. Instead of writing question answers first, we discuss the answers from the reference books and

then they write at home and after that they re-write in the test from.

3. Weekly tests, fix days for each subject.

4. Once the syllabus is completed, they will solve question papers for more of writing practice.

5. Syllabus for Grade 9 will be completed by February, 2019.

6. Reduced number of co-curricular activities for grade 9.

7. Compulsory Physical and Health Education session daily (As per CBSE guidelines)

8. Individual performance file for each student will be maintained wherein we will keep a record of

the scope of improvements discussed with the parents and child. Will be working together on

those.

On 28th April, First Parents Teachers meet was organized for the year.

Summer Break was from 10th May to 10th June. We had our remedial sessions from 28th May to 2nd June.

Co-curricular:-

On 27th of April we organized Reuse the Used Competition for grades 1 to 9.

On 4th of May we organized “Frutie & Veggie Competition” for LKG & UKG.

We had our 2nd investiture ceremony on 8th of May for the newly appointed office bearers to take up

their new responsibilities.

June 2018:-

Teacher’s and Grade 9 resumed from 4th June, Grade 1 to 8 resumed from 11th June and from 12th LKG and UKG started. Nursery resumed from 18th of June.

June school re-opened for Pre-primary.

Academic:- For enhancement of the various skills required we planned to take the internal assessments for the year as the CBSE guidelines.

Co-curricular:- 21st June, International Yoga day was celebrated by the mentors in the morning and by children during the prayer time. 23rd June, Dental Health Check-up was organized for all the children. 29th June, Math Mania for Grade 1 to 9 and Colour competition was organized for Pre-Primary section. Team:- Mr. Pravin Sondarva joined our team on 1st June, 2018 as a Hindi Sanskrit Mentor.

Ms. Nishee Nathwani and Ms. Darshana Rawal attended Capacity Building Program on “Gender

Sensitivity” organized by CBSE at Bhagvati International School Patan, on 30th June, 2018.

Ms. Maulie Abraham and Ms. Zankhana Thakrar attended Capacity Building Program on “Classroom

Management” organized by CBSE at Delhi Public School, Rajkot, 29th and 30th June, 2018.

All the staff including Principal attended “Applied Psychology for Effective Mentoring” by Mr. S

Neelkanthan at Shri L G Haria School, on 30th June, 2018.

Mrs. Alka Bala and Mrs. Richa Sanghvi attended the Measles and Rubella Training organized by Gujarat

Govt. July 2018 Academic:-

Regular Academic was on based on the yearly plan.

Co-curricular:

9th July we organized Coffee with Commissioner. Children were guided by Ms. Nishee Nathwani. Purpose of this interview was to help children get aware of the different positions in different areas and the struggles or hard work they need to put in to make their own dreams come true.

10th July we organized Vartalap with Viral Rachh with the same purpose as above.

20th July Handwriting competition was organsied

21st July Folk Dance Jugalbandi was organized for grades 1 to 3.

27th Just a Minute competition was organsied for Pre-Primary section with a purpose of giving them stage as well as working with peers for completion of a given task.

30th July “Damdaar Dramebaaz” competition was organized with the theme of Friendship. Team:

Ms. Mohini Jakhariya joined our team as Sports Coach on 16th July, 2018. August 2018:-

3rd August Measles-Rubella Vaccination campaign was organized as per the Govt. order for all the grades.

30th August, 2018 we had organized our 6th SMC meeting at Haria School from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

Academics:-

Periodic Test 1 was conducted for all the grades in this month from 6th to 11th August.

For grade 9 one on one parents-teachers meeting was organized for parents to see the test papers as well to discuss with parents individually each student’s scope areas and join hands to help them improve.

Co-curricular:-

72nd Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm. Celebration included Flag hoisting by Ms. Shivani Bhatt, cultural events followed by sports events for Grade 4 to 9, mentors and parents.

Ms. Gurjinder Kaur joined our team as a Sports Coach on 13th August, 2018.

Ms. Hinal Voria joined our Team as LKG mentor on 1st August, 2018.

Ms. Madhura Dixit joined our team as Grade 3 mentor

Ms. Anjali Shah LKG mentor’s last working was 15th of August, 2018.

Mrs. Zarna Mankad mentor left us in this month due to personal reasons.

15th August we organsied farewell for Ms. Anjali Shah.

September 2018:-

Academics:-

September is the month where completion of syllabus and revisions takes place.

2nd Periodic test for students was conducted during the last week of September and first week of

October. In most of the subjects 50 percent syllabus to be covered.

School organized Parents workshop as continuation on “Mindful Parenting” by Mamta Ma’am.

Orientation program for UKG and Grade 1 parents and Gr 2 and 3 parents for Trinity courses was

organized.

o Radhika Ma’am Grade 2 Mentor who worked with us since 2015-16 left this month for

personal reasons.

o Kamal Makwana (M.Com, B.Com, B.Ed) joined us replacing Radhika Ma’am

o 5th September, 2018 Teacher’s Day celebration was carried on by Students and also by the

Admin followed by Lunch.

o Essay Writing Competition was held for Staff members on 18th September.

o 27th September, 2018 Training on “Child Safety” by Mamta Ma’am was organized for RES staff.

Special focus was on POCSO.

o Teachers’ Observation by Principal was started from this month.

o Performance Appraisal from Term 1 was carried out by the all staff members for each other

during the last week of this month.

o Mrs. Shivani Acharya and Mrs. Sunita Yadav attended Capacity Building training on

“Remodeled Structure of Examination” by CBSE organized at Surat L.P.Sawani International

School.

o CBSE-training on "Teaching Science" at Bhavnagar was attended by our mentor Mr. Siddharth Doshi.

October 2018

Term 1 ends in this month on 5th October, 2018

Academics:-

o 8th October we started with our term 2 with following changes in our academic practices:-

All the mentors should give the note checking rubrics to children in the class within a

week’s time and also remind them about the same when you are going to take the note

book for internal assessment.

Whenever we are taking any assessment please give the assessment criteria in advance

to children so they know what is expected out of them.

Grade 1 to 3 for Language Development sessions your goal for term 2 should be as

follows:-

- Unseen reading and comprehension passage once a week to be done. You need

to paste the passage in the CW. We are going to include unseen reading

comprehension in the assessment in the term 2.

- At least 5 to 7 sentences on a topic to be written by them on their own at the

end of the term2. At the end of they should be able to write this with correct

spellings.

- Twice a month Dictation of hard words to be taken and children with all correct

spellings to be appreciated in the assembly.

Except for Monday and Thursday it will be class teacher’s duty to check the i-card, nails,

cleanliness of the uniform, hair oil etc of the class. Grade 4 to 9

Each and every subject each and every chapter you do mentors have to make it sure

that at least 2 answers or any 2 sub topics are written by children on their own. (No

dictation or copy writing from the board for those 2 things) Please plan prior what it

should be from the topic. For any guidance or help come to me.

All the Higher order thinking questions or Think and write or value added questions

given in the exercise to be done by everyone (Grade 1 to 9).

Our mode of communication with children is English please let me remind you.

Specially grade 3 to 9 we should avoid using Gujarati or Hindi.

o Four Students of Grade 9 (Krupa Ghadiya, Dilsumi Shah, Yuva Parmar & Krunal Donga) qualified

for Zonal Level Quiz of the National Safety Science Campaign (NSSC) 2018. They represented school

as two teams at NSSC Quiz held at Matunga, Mumbai. Ms. Richa Sanghavi guided and assisted

them for the quiz.

Co-curricular :-

Athletics was held on 4th, 6th and 7th October where our students represented our school.

U-9 girls:- Standing Board Jump:- Kavya Shah stood 1st and Dhyana 2nd

position

U-11 girls: - Tithi stood 1st and Sneha 2nd position respectively.

U-11 boys: - Harsh stood 1st and Prince stood 3rd position respectively.

U-9 30 mt race: - Irshad stood 1st.

U-11 50 mt race: - Sneha stood 3rd.

U-17 Discus throw: - Jeet stood 2nd and Yash stood 3rd respectively.

On 3rd October “Chunnar Decoration Competition” for mothers and “Garba Singing

Competition” for Fathers was organsied. (Results will share during the meeting)

On 6th October Radhika Sang Raas 4 was organized where in we had different rounds for Pre-

primary, Grade 1 and 2, Grade 3 to 5, Grade 6 to 7, Parents, Management and staff and 2 Prop

rounds based on the theme. Our Theme was Village – Garv Thi Gamthi. (Results and staff duty

list will share with you during the meeting).

Team:-

o On 2nd October for RES staff, workshop on “Bloom’s Taxonomy” By Mrs. Usha Mani was

organsied with the view to make our mentors efficient on teaching method as well as paper

setting.

o Ms. Nishee Nathwani our Co-curricular coordinator’s role changed from 8th of October.

o Ms. Gurjindar our part time sports mentor left us due to personal reasons.

o Ms. Bhumika Patel one of our academic coordinator’s last working day was 15th October, she

was working with us since 2015-16.

o Farewell for Ms. Bhumika Patel and Ms. Radhika Gokani was organsied on 17th of October by

RES.

o Ms. Mohini our sports mentor won a Gold Medal for Zudo in Khelmaha Kumbh, and she would

be going further for state level. Congratulations to her and all of us.

o Mr. Rifaquat Miava participated for state level Hockey Tournament Khel Mahakumbh.

Congratulations to him once again.

o 21st October our 4 mentors were trained for Trinity exams to be conducted in the month of

February, were few of our registered students will appear.

November 2018:-

Academics:-

During this month Remedial sessions for students who need extra help where conducted during Diwali

break.

Co-curricular:-

Various Competitions where held during this month with the objective of improving their language

and also observations skills. The competitions held where as follows:-

o Grade 1 to 3:- Picture Story competition on held 22nd, November 2018

o Grade 4 to 9 Declamation Competition held on 22nd, November 2018

o Pre-Primary Rhymes Recitation Competition held on 2nd, November 2018

Science and Math Club student’s visited Andhjan Vividlaxi Talim Kendra with an objective of learning

how to weave as a part of cloth making process.

Team:-

1st November, 2018 Rifaquat Miyava our sports mentor left for better prospectus.

Mr. Sunil Suradiya joined the team as Hindi and Sanskrit Mentor and left after working for one month

as a trainee.

Ms. Sapna Haria joined the team as UKG Mother Teacher on 19th November, 2018.

Mr. Yusufjay Basit and Mr. Bipin Tuti joined the team as Sports Mentors on 22nd & 24th November,

2018.

On 17th November, 2018 Professional Development Module-1 training organized at Haria School was

attended by Ms Preksha Shukla, Ms. Bhavika Parmar, Ms. Hinal Voria and Ms. Dhvani Shah.

On 19th of November, 2018 Team RES made time-line on their experiences before and after joining

RES as part of team building activity, organized by the Principal.

Team shared their learning’s about their peer or colleague, which they were not aware and came to

know through the timeline.

As reflection of term one mentors was given 3 questions as homework for Diwali Break, the same was

shared by them to the team. Based on it they could bring changes in their practices for term 2.

On 20th November 2018, team was asked to do one activity- Inner Circle and Outer Circle, as a part of

self development.

On the same day team brainstormed on what are we want RES students to be known for after passing

10th.

December, 2018

It was a Month of Trips and celebrations.

Jain Education Trust and Radhika EduCare School organsied open Jamnagar Pre-primary teacher’s

training - “AARAMBH” a SPICMACY module, at Haria School Campus on 1st November, 2018.

6th Home Visit was organsied on 30-12-2018 for the Parents who joined us in 2016-17.

Academics:-

There were regular sessions during the month of December. Few skill enrichments were conducted

during this month.

Various activities for enriching student’s skills were planned during this month like classifying the

advertisements in two different types of advertisements, reading and writing skills through object

writing or topic writing etc.

Conducted Olympiad Aptitude Test (Grade 1 to 9) on 4th December, 2018.

Co-scholastic:-

Grade 9 as a part of HPE- visited old age home- Jam Ranjitsinh Charitable Trust “Niradhar Ashram”.

Planning and Preparations of the sports day had started.

19th of December to 23rd of December Grade 4 to 9 students went for a trip to Khumbal Gadh.

19th Grade 1 and 2 went for Picnic to Bholeshwar.

20th Grade 3 went for Picnic to Ghumli

22nd Pre-Primary picnic to Van Vihar Resort, Jamnagar.

On 29th December, 2018, S.S. Quiz – Mind Scribble - Grade 4 to 6 and Grade 7 to 9 was organized.

Team:-

Ms. Ayushi Tada (Sports mentor for lower grades), Ms. Leena Kudla (Hindi Sanskrit Mentor – Grade 6

to 9) and Ms. Khyati Daudia (Mother Teacher – Grade 1), Ms. Beena Dhruve (Mother Teacher – Grade

3) joined us.

Mr. Dharmendra Solanki (Admin Co-ordinator, RES) and Mr. Ajay Parmar (Admin Executive, RES)

attended Computer Workshop at Rajkot, organized by Kips Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

January, 2019:-

There were regular sessions during the month of January.

Co-scholastics:-

Organized Khelotsav on 26th January, 2019 along with Republic Day Celebrations.

February 2019:-

Academics:-

Hosted Pre-School Bee Inter-School Competition on 18th February, 2019 wherein 26 students of RES

and 6 students of Kidzee School participated.

Conducted India Spelling Bee Competition – Grade 1 to 9 on 5th February, 2019.

Co-scholastics:-

Year end co-scholastic assessments completed.

March 2019:-

Academics:-

Trinity YPC (Young Performers Certificate) was organized at RES on 1st March, 2019 wherein 28

students participated (4 groups – each of 7 students) and Ms. Susy Hague (Examiner) from London

conducted the examination. 4 Mentors (Ms. Alka Bala, Ms. Maulie Abraham, Ms. Sonal Chauhan and

Ms. Riddhi Dodhia) guided and mentored the students for YPC exams.

Trinity GESE - International (Graded Examinations in Spoken English) was organized on 13th March,

2019 wherein 9 students along with one of our mentors Ms. Riddhi Dodhia also participated and Ms.

Annabel Boog (Examiner) from London conducted the examination. 3 Mentors (Ms. Anjali Shah, Ms.

Tejal Shah & Ms. Nabira Vadsariya) guided and mentored the students for GESE-Intl exams.

11th March Annual exams started.

Co-scholastics:-

Annual function selections were done during this month.

29th March, 2019 our Annual Day was celebrated with the theme 9 Utsav. All the performances revolved around the theme. There were 9 performances showcasing the importance of 9 colors, 9 planets, 9 Goddesses, 9 pillars of RES, 9 emotions, etc.

Team:-

The Team (Academic, Admin and Support Staff) was rewarded with 9 Year-End Awards to recognize their specialties noticed across the year 2018-19.
