There wasn't a blog for this ride but Chris Lamb added a note and two photos about the aircraft

wreck at the church at Dodleston.

"The aircraft was a De Havilland Vampire T 11 (I confidently told anyone who listened that it

was a Jet Provost trainer - wrong!) bought from Harwarden in 1983 presumably to restore. It

remained there until someone set fire to it in June 2009 destroying the cockpit and most of the

fuselage - hence the wreckage. Shame really, I thought I might find that it crash landed........!"
