Activities seek to provide support to the Palestinian Authority and UNRWA through a well established development assistance programme, as well as responding to more urgent education needs through emergency education interventions in the Gaza Strip and vulnerable West Bank communities. INCLUSIVE EDUCATION 29.000 children in the West Bank and Gaza benefit from inclusive and child-friendly education in 70 pilot schools through Awareness and advocacy activities on inclusive and child friendly education. The implementation of action research projects in schools to strengthen innovative teaching and learning practices for inclusive education. Innovative teaching and learning methods with an inclusive and child- centered approach through project-based learning. 1.000 children benefit from the implementation of action research projects in their schools 10.000 vulnerable university students benefit from the services provided by the community libraries 12 community libraries are providing services to vulnerable students all over the West Bank and Gaza SUPPORT TO VULNERABLE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS 12 community libraries in the West Bank and Gaza provide needed services to more than 10.000 vulnerable university students and are fully equipped to accommodate students with disabilities. The libraries provide textbooks and course materials, computer, printing facilities and a variety of skills trainings. In addition students can also benefit from advice and support on conducting scientific research. UNESCO Ramallah plays a key role as Technical Advisor to the Education Sector Working Group. \ Technical advisor on drafting a new, comprehensive law on General Education in Palestine. One of the leading advisors to the Government in their reporting obligations under the 4 major UN Human Rights Instruments that deal specifically with education. March 2019
