Looking to move to private sector to work on projects that offer the opportunity for fame and fortune. Relevant Experience Illinois Department on Aging Aug 20 14 current Web Developer Responsibilities: Currently the developer/tech support for the Benefit Access Application for the State of Illinois. The program is written in VB.Net, uses SQL Server 2008R2, as well as Reporting Services, JQuery, HTML 4 and CSS 2. This is the statewide application for senior and disabled citizens to apply for free public transportation passes and discounted license plates. The application has 200,000 300,000 lines of code and approximately 160 stored procedures. The database has 30 tables and interacts with 2 other databases in an enterprise environment. As well as using two Web Services to communicate with other agencies in the state. I maintain and upgrade the code to accommodate admin team needs. The application has been in production for 3 years now. I have worked on this project since August 2014 and have added a renewal process, name, SSN, DOB, and residency verification, implemented code to change the claim year from January 1 to match the tax year, removal of special characters from name for better integration with outside agents, and wrote or fixed claimant side validation, as well as adding audit trail enhancements for better change tracking. Developing a portal website for the State of Illinois Ombudsman and the public facing “Consumer Choice” website . This will be used to comply with federal guidelines for developing a Consumer Choice program for the nursing homes within the state. Using C#, MCV, CSS 3, HTML 5, JQuery, SQL Server 2014, and Entity Framework. Project makes use of the open source JQuery FullCalendar. The web portal is intended to be used by owners of nursing homes in Illinois to provide information about the facility and for a central hub of information for the various Ombudsman around the state. This will tie into a public facing website that the consumers can use to compare the nursing homes. I will officially take over the public facing side of this project the first week of May 2016. I am not the original developer for any of the projects. I have been tasked with taking over for contractors after the initial delivery of the app (Benefit Access Application) or to finish the application after the state terminated the contract (Ombudsman). (Again the State of Illinois has no budget.) Guardianship and Advocacy Commission Jan 2013 – Aug 2014 A graduate internship in IT with Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission. Responsibilities: Conversion of reports from old database/mainframe system after system upgrade. This includes converting old field names to the new ones and creating procedures to gather information when new field don’t exists or not a straight conversion. Developed a secure site with a forums board for state agency (HRA) using ASP.Net/C#, SQL Server and SqlCe. Created custom login as well as porting an open source forum board (ITCN ASP.Net Forum) from VB.Net to C#. The site has seven tables that I created along with the classes and procedures to access the database. 1
